This will be a 3rd shift position with the following hours: Sunday-Thursday 10pm-6:30am Duties include, but are not limited to: Fabricate custom and standard products from blueprints with high attention to detail and efficiency. Communicate with shop manager and engineering on product issues and assist with streamlining methods for production. MIG weld 10-to-20-gauge galvanized steel for adapters, curbs, and other products. Conduct visual inspections of welded components to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. Work closely with engineers, fabricators, and other team members to ensure efficient workflow and successful project completion. Under direct supervision, spot welds together metal components. What We Are Looking For Familiar with safe welding practices. Capable of learning to read fabrication drawings with some instruction. Capable of welding 10-to-20-gauge galvanized steel. (Can be taught) Must be physically capable of loading fabrication parts onto the weld table. Capable of blueprint reading and interpretation skills. Individual must be a self-starter and need minimal guidance on daily task. Must be quality oriented with strong attention to detail. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, tape measures, diagrams Individual must have a working knowledge of MIG welding machines with respect to preventive maintenance and control settings to obtain maximum efficiencies. Able to move objects weighing up to 75 pounds. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Requires a high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred: Trade school or certification in welding. Required: 1-year previous MIG welding experience. Able to work with a positive attitude and in a team setting.
