We are currently looking for a Director of Quality to join our dynamic, fast-paced, and growing team. The Director of Quality is responsible for overseeing and enhancing our Quality Assurance Program (QAP). The Director of Quality will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our products and services consistently meet or exceed industry standards and customer expectations. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in implementing and maintaining quality procedures, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and fostering a culture of excellence throughout the organization.
What You Will Be Doing
Quality Management Systems (QMS):
Develop, implement, and maintain effective quality management systems across all operations.
Ensure compliance with national and international quality standards and regulations.
Write, implement, and maintain procedures required by NAVSEA Technical Publications, EB-2678, ISO 9001, ASME, and AISC standards.
Policy Development:
Formulate quality policies and procedures to enhance the performance and reliability of defense products and services.
Collaborate with other departments to integrate quality initiatives into overall strategic objectives. ensuring adherence to quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.
Continuous Improvement:
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, and effectiveness.
Use data-driven analysis to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Develop, implement, and periodically evaluate our QMS program to ensure organizations production operations, from raw materials to finished products, meet the quality, integrity and efficiency standards set by the organization.
Leadership and Training:
Provide leadership and direction to the quality assurance team, which includes managing changing organizational priorities and objectives as well as creating and managing quality team members' personal development plans.
Develop and conduct training programs to promote a culture of quality throughout the organization.
Coordinate with the departmental teams to develop and execute comprehensive programs that support the QAP, including training and development initiatives.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including contractors and suppliers, to ensure quality standards are met.
Together with Senior Leadership Team, establish, measure, report on and evaluate companywide Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Coordinate with other agencies and industry partners to share best practices and innovations in quality management.
Provide expert guidance and advice to senior management on all aspects of Rhoads' QAP, including strategic planning, risk management, and compliance.
Review customer contracts to identify flow-down requirements and ensure compliance with contract specifications.
Oversee customer source inspections, ensuring that products and services meet contractual and regulatory requirements.
Serve as the company's primary liaison for supplier development with key clients, driving collaboration and continuous improvement initiatives.
Audits and Inspections:
Oversee internal and external audits and inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date quality records, including documentation of audits, inspections, and corrective actions.
Develop action plans to address audit findings and ensure timely implementation.
Oversee company Lessons Learned/Critique process to ensure true root cause analysis and process improvement
Risk Management:
Identify and assess quality-related risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
Implement quality control measures to prevent defects and reduce variability in processes.

Your Background
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field required.
Master's degree Engineering, Quality Management, or related field preferred.
Ten years or more of experience in a senior quality management role within industrial fabrication, installation, or manufacturing industries
Minimum of 7 years of experience in a quality management role within the industrial fabrication, installation, or manufacturing industry.
Department of Defense Industry experience
Proven track record of leading quality assurance teams and implementing quality systems.
Professional certifications such as Certified Quality Manager (CQM), Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), or similar credentials.
US Citizenship required
In-depth knowledge of quality management standards, including NAVSEA Technical Publications, ISO 9001, Six Sigma, Lean, ASME, and AISC standards.
Familiarity with defense industry regulations and requirements.
Proven track record of implementing and maintaining quality procedures and programs in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and inspire cross-functional teams to achieve quality objectives.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interface with senior management, clients, and regulatory agencies.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Certification as a Quality Auditor (CQA) or Quality Engineer (CQE) preferred.

The Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving and inspecting incoming shipments, verifying quantities, and ensuring goods are delivered in good condition. This role requires accurately recording incoming shipments, resolving discrepancies with vendors, and coordinating with warehouse and inventory teams to ensure timely processing Responsible for the overall coordination, implementation, and administration of Dynamics, Excel Spreadsheets and material related certificates, records, and calibration. The Receiving Clerk also supports inventory control by maintaining accurate records and organizing the received goods for storage or distribution. What You Will Be Doing Receiving Shipments:
Receipt of Goods:
Accept and unload deliveries from trucks and other shipments.
Verify the accuracy of shipment contents by comparing packing slips and purchase orders with the physical items received.
Inspect received goods for damage or defects and report any issues to the appropriate personnel.

Documentation & Record Keeping:
Accurately record received goods in the company's inventory system, ensuring that all information (quantities, descriptions, and delivery dates) is correct.
Monitor and maintain material certification of material.
Collects, organizes and analyzes data required in receiving, transfer and shipment of material.
Ensure compliance with the storing of production material and applicable tooling and equipment Policies and Procedures
Create Reports and provide to internal and external customers
Maintain detailed and organized records of all incoming shipments and delivery documents.
File any claims for damaged goods with carriers and coordinate with suppliers for return or replacement.
Communications:
Communicate with suppliers and vendors regarding shipment discrepancies, returns, or issues with damaged goods.
Notify the appropriate departments, such as purchasing or inventory management, of shipment arrivals and any problems encountered.
Inspection & Quality Control:
Product Inspection:
Examine shipments to ensure the correct items have been delivered and are in proper condition.
Conduct quality control checks, including verifying that items are free of damage, defects, and meet specifications as required.
Reject any defective or incorrect goods and notify vendors or supervisors of the discrepancies.
Safety & Security:
Ensure that incoming shipments are handled according to safety procedures and company policies.
Secure shipments and inventory to prevent loss, theft, or damage.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the receiving area.

Inventory & Stock Control:
Stock Organization:
Prepare goods for storage or further distribution, organizing items in designated areas according to established inventory systems.
Label and tag received goods as necessary to ensure they can be easily tracked and identified.
Assist with cycle counts or full inventory audits to ensure accurate stock levels.
Inventory Coordination:
Communicate with warehouse and inventory teams to ensure proper storage and timely movement of goods.

Operational Efficiency:
Warehouse Support:
Work closely with warehouse staff to ensure goods are moved efficiently from the receiving dock to storage areas.
Help with the organization and optimization of the warehouse layout to improve the efficiency of receiving and shipping processes.
Support the loading and unloading of trucks, utilizing equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts when necessary.
Continuous Improvement:
Assist in improving receiving processes to increase operational efficiency and accuracy.
Provide input on ways to enhance receiving operations and minimize delays in the flow of goods.
Your Background
HS Diploma or equivalent required
Additional education or certification in logistics, warehouse management, or a related field is a plus.
Previous experience in receiving, warehouse operations, or inventory management preferred.
Basic math skills and the ability to count and measure items accurately.
Proficiency in using inventory software, spreadsheets, and databases to track shipments and stock.
The ability to operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts or pallet jacks, is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects (depending on the size and nature of shipments).
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

We are currently looking for an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to join our dynamic, fast-paced, and growing team. The EHS Specialist is responsible for responsible for the oversight of safety for our second shift with occasional coverage on our first shift should business needs dictate. The position is accountable for supporting all EHS activities at our sites including monitoring EHS objectives and targets, internal reporting of EHS department performance and ensuring our EHS programs, policies and procedures are implemented and sustained. The EHS Specialist will also ensure compliance with local, State and Federal regulatory requirements and support a strong safety culture that engages all employees throughout our sites.
This EHS Specialist position is required to work 2nd shift (Monday-Thursday, 4pm EST-2:30am EST.)
What You Will Be Doing
Interact with Rhoads team members on the production floor to identify hazards, assist with corrective actions, mentor and instruct on best practices and foster a positive relationship that encourages a best-in-class safety culture.
Support and conduct safety & health inspections by completing audits, initiating corrective actions for identified findings, assisting with closing action items, and assessing preventative measures within all site departments.
Apply the Company's incident/accident prevention program. Investigate all incidents/accidents, identify root causes, and ensure corrective actions are implemented according to regulatory and site EHS requirements.
Support the Director of Safety, Director of Risk Management and EHS Specialists in maintaining a coordinated injury abatement program through the development, engagement, and tracking of leading and lagging indicators relevant to EHS performance.
Conduct safety training to include classroom and on-the-job training (OJT's) for Rhoads Industries employees and subcontractors utilizing approved training materials. Research and suggest training content relevant to Rhoads Industries' scope of work.
Review new work processes, customer facilities and projects, including equipment plans, to ensure proper safety and health controls have been fully considered and incorporated.
Verify and maintain all OSHA and other regulatory documentation to include incident/accident reports, equipment inspection reports, training records and other related safety documentation.
Ability to read, understand & interpret OSHA 1910, 1915 & 1926 Standards and US Army Corp of Engineers EM385 to ensure compliance with present and future OSHA laws, rules, regulations, standards, and policies.
Serve as a member of the Rhoads Industries Safety Committee.
Maintain confidentiality with all investigations and medical records.
Able to take instruction, display knowledge of the work being performed and be able to retain and apply skills taught.
Liaise with Rhoads Industries contracted Occupational Medicine Services Provider with all medical matters to assure Rhoads Industries CEO and Business Line Managers are aware of the status of all OCCMED matters that affect the employees assigned to their Business Line.
Make suggestions and recommendations to project supervisors to enhance our safety culture.
Plan the direction, oversight, control, and execution of safety measures to ensure industrial hygiene and other related tasks are performed safely to minimize the exposure of hazards to site personnel.
Champion and lead projects designed to improve our EHS program in conjunction with reducing risks to achieve Rhoads Industries business sustainability objectives.

Your Background
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field of study preferred
5+ years of experience as an Environmental Health & Safety Specialist
Due to the sensitivity of this role and associated federal requirements, candidates must be U.S. Citizens (non-dual citizenship) and able to obtain and maintain U.S. Navy badging credentials as a condition of employment.
Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a motor vehicle record (MVR) that meets Rhoads Industries' insurance eligibility standards.
OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety and Health Certification required.
Current First Aid, CPR, and AED certification (or ability to obtain within a designated timeframe); EMT certification preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and related software applications.

Conduct regular site visits to review JHAs, verify documentation, and ensure adherence to safety policies, with a focus on high-priority and large-scope job locations.
Implement and support safety training programs to ensure compliance with the Rhoads Industries OSHA Plan and promote a strong safety culture across all teams.
Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and contribute to overall environmental, health, and safety performance goals.

. We are currently looking for a Maintenance Journeyman (Industrial Manufacturing) to join our dynamic, fast-paced, and growing team. The Maintenance Journeyman will be responsible for managing the inventory, distribution, and maintenance of tools and consumables in the tool room. This role ensures tools and materials are available for shop personnel, maintained in good condition, properly repaired, and tracked accurately. The attendant works closely with various teams to meet operational needs and adhere to procedures for handling maintenance of tools and consumables. What You Will Be Doing Safety

Maintain and repair cutting/grinding and scaling equipment welding/heating harness, Air/Oxygen/Acetylene Hoses, and pneumatic tools
Prepare equipment and tools that are unable to be prepared in house and manage outgoing shipments.
Tool & Consumable Issuance and Return
Track repairs on all equipment and tools
Back up support for the distribution of tools and wire/consumables to employees
Your Background
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Completion of post-secondary trade school preferred.
Previous experience in inventory management, tool room operations, or a related field
At least three years prior mechanical experience or skills for tool maintenance & equipment repairs performed in industrial settings such as welding equipment, pneumatic tools, and electrical tooling
Knowledge of various welding, grinding, heating, and pneumatic equipment & tools
Must be able to work in a team environment
Must be self-motivated
Requires a strong attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
Must require three years forklift experience
Must be able to pass a 7 year background check

Performing and/or coordinating QC functions such as inspections, physical and chemical testing, qualification testing, non-destructive testing, and witnessing formal operational tests as assigned.
Witnessing welder performance qualification testing
Reviewing customer fabrication requirements and supporting customer audits of Rhoads' welding management system.

Your Background
Required: AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI). Applicants must have a valid certification.
Preferred: NDT Level II certification in MT or PT
At least 2 years of AWS D1.1 experience.

Support and conduct safety & health inspections by completing audits, initiating corrective actions for identified findings, assisting with closing action items, and assessing preventative measures within all site departments.
Apply the Company's incident/accident prevention program. Investigate all incidents/accidents, identify root causes, and ensure corrective actions are implemented according to regulatory and site EHS requirements.
Support the Director of Safety, Director of Risk Management and EHS Specialists in maintaining a coordinated injury abatement program through the development, engagement, and tracking of leading and lagging indicators relevant to EHS performance.
Conduct safety training to include classroom and on-the-job training (OJT's) for Rhoads Industries employees and subcontractors utilizing approved training materials. Research and suggest training content relevant to Rhoads Industries' scope of work.
Review new work processes, customer facilities and projects, including equipment plans, to ensure proper safety and health controls have been fully considered and incorporated.
Verify and maintain all OSHA and other regulatory documentation to include incident/accident reports, equipment inspection reports, training records and other related safety documentation.
Ability to read, understand & interpret OSHA 1910, 1915 & 1926 Standards and US Army Corp of Engineers EM385 to ensure compliance with present and future OSHA laws, rules, regulations, standards, and policies.
Serve as a member of the Rhoads Industries Safety Committee.
Maintain confidentiality with all investigations and medical records.
Able to take instruction, display knowledge of the work being performed and be able to retain and apply skills taught.
Liaise with Rhoads Industries contracted Occupational Medicine Services Provider with all medical matters to assure Rhoads Industries CEO and Business Line Managers are aware of the status of all OCCMED matters that affect the employees assigned to their Business Line.
Make suggestions and recommendations to project supervisors to enhance our safety culture.
Plan the direction, oversight, control, and execution of safety measures to ensure industrial hygiene and other related tasks are performed safely to minimize the exposure of hazards to site personnel.

. POSITION SUMMARY Prep, layout, tack, weld, finish, and repair complex fabrications to work packages in accordance with product specifications, production schedule under the guidance of the shop superintendent. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Read and understand work packages, drawings, and blueprints.
Layout, position, align and secure parts & assemblies according to specifications by using tape measures, straightedges, combination squares, levels, and other various measuring tools.
Perform welding using the GMAW welding processes
Work within assigned group to move and position work pieces using overhead cranes
Operate hand and power tools such as magnetic drills, grinders, cutting torches and automated welding tractors, etc.
Inspect own work assure it meets product specifications, shop packages and is compliant before presented to QA
Inspect equipment to maintain functionality; report any equipment malfunctions
Set-up and operate machinery to support the fabrication such as punching, shearing, cutting, drilling etc.
Work with others to assist in the fabrication of multi-component fabrications
Dispatched to other buildings within the Navy yard and possible other job sites at times when requested
Various shifts may be required, including overtime and weekends.
EDUCATION:
Required: High school Graduate, related Trade school and History of experience in this industry required
QUALIFICATIONS:
5+ year experience in fabrication industry
Have experience in the GMAW (Pulse and Spray), and FCAW welding processes GTAW is a plus. Must qualify to Plate in the 3-G and 4-G position Per AWS D1.1 using the GMAW process. Have performed structural welding in various positions to AWS D1. 1.. Proven past welding certification history is a plus.
US Citizenship required.
Understands welding symbols, decipher work packages diagrams, blueprints, and or other printed instructional material.
Can cut material by means of cutting torch, plasma torch track burner shears etc.

Able to work in a team environment and self-motivated.
