It requires a high level of expertise in purchasing data analysis, market research, and supplier management to generate insights that enhance procurement strategies, streamline processes, and achieve cost savings. The Rhoads' Industrial Services (IS) Department, a 15,000 square feet facility located at 10081 Sandmeyer Lane, Units 3 & 4, in Northeast Philadelphia, serves as the operational base and support center for the company's regional commercial & industrial clients. This facility houses the division's Leadership, Administration, Procurement, Project Management & Estimating Departments, as well as the Tool Center and Truck Fleet for providing essential millwrighting, mechanical, piping, and fabrication support. What You Will Be Doing Reporting: In office Monday through Friday 7am to 3:30pm. Report directly to IS Department Manager and in collaboration with IS Business Manager. Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze purchasing data to identify trends, opportunities for cost savings, and areas for process improvement. Supplier Performance Monitoring: Track and evaluate supplier performance based on key metrics such as delivery times, quality, and pricing. Provide recommendations for supplier improvements or changes based on performance data. Assist in the development of supplier scorecards and performance reviews. Procurement Process Optimization: Collaborate with the purchasing team to implement process improvements and best practices. Support the development and implementation of procurement policies and procedures. Cost Analysis and Financial Analysis: Perform cost analysis to assess the financial impact of purchasing decisions and identify potential savings. Market Research and Competitive Benchmarking: Conduct market research to gather information on industry trends, pricing, and supplier capabilities. Support for Contract Management: Assist in the review and analysis of supplier contracts to ensure compliance and alignment with company needs. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with the IS Team, and other internal Rhoads stakeholders to support procurement objectives. Communicate effectively with suppliers and vendors to resolve issues and gather necessary information. Participate in cross-functional teams and meetings as required. Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and organized records of procurement activities, supplier information, and purchase orders. Ensure that all documentation is complete and up to date for auditing Additional Duties As Assigned. Your Background Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Economics or a business-related field Relevant certification (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) is a plus. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in procurement, purchasing or a related role. U.S. Citizenship required. Strong negotiation and analytical skills. Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, data visualization tools). Ability to learn procurement software and inventory management systems. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills. Ability to communicate requirements in an industrial environment and support project management teams by using written and/or verbal skills where appropriate. Excellent customer service and client communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft SharePoint. Knowledge of industrial supply chains, including MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) procurement, raw materials sourcing, and equipment purchasing processes. Experience with supplier qualification processes specific to industrial safety, and quality standards Understanding of project-based procurement and ability to support project timelines, budgets, and specific material requirements in an industrial setting. Experience managing logistics and delivery schedules for large-scale equipment or industrial materials, focusing on minimizing downtime and optimizing operational efficiency. The Work Environment at Rhoads Daily in-office attendance will be required. Must be able to work in a variety of physical positions, including sitting, standing, walking, and driving in an automobile. Conduct safety training to include classroom and on-the-job training (OJT's) for Rhoads Industries employees and subcontractors utilizing approved training materials. Research and suggest training content relevant to Rhoads Industries' scope of work. Your Background Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field of study preferred 5+ years of experience as an Environmental Health & Safety Specialist Due to the sensitivity of this role and associated federal requirements, candidates must be U.S. Citizens (non-dual citizenship) and able to obtain and maintain U.S. Navy badging credentials as a condition of employment. Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a motor vehicle record (MVR) that meets Rhoads Industries' insurance eligibility standards. OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety and Health Certification required. Current First Aid, CPR, and AED certification (or ability to obtain within a designated timeframe); EMT certification preferred. What You Will Be Doing Perform facility maintenance to include HVAC, lighting, electrical panels & wiring, plumbing, man doors & overhead doors, and roof inspections. Maintain accurate records of preventative maintenance, repairs, and modifications performed. Inspect and assess facility conditions to ensure proper functionality and make recommendations for necessary repairs Responsible for maintaining an inventory of service and repair parts.
