Position Summary:
The Rice Business Assistant Dean of Enrollment Management provides vision and strategic direction for prospect recruiting, enrollment management, and communications. This position has responsibility for development, oversight, and management of all Rice Business enrollment, recruiting and related marketing communications programs, as well as administration. The Assistant Dean manages a team of professionals employed to accomplish these tasks and supports large and complex partnerships with third-party suppliers of student search, enrollment, and recruiting services. Of preeminent importance is substantial expertise in managing others to meet enrollment goals, developing a sales funnel, and setting associated KPIs to measure activity. Thorough knowledge of and experience with current technologies and platforms for managing a funnel of business, which would include a thorough understanding and use of CRM systems. This role requires a deep understanding of computational and data science, machine learning, and the scientific process. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with Stanford faculty and research groups to design, implement, and refine GPU-accelerated data processing pipelines. Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine seeks a Lab Technician eager to contribute to impactful work that advances animal and public health. This position provides hands-on laboratory and research support, assisting with daily lab operations as well as molecular biology experiments involving animal, human, and arthropod samples. The job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Provide general laboratory support, including ordering, receiving, tracking, and maintaining inventories of supplies
Perform laboratory experiments in collaboration with lab members, including processing samples from animal, human, and arthropod sources
Conduct molecular biology techniques such as RNA and DNA isolation, PCR, and pathogen genomic sequencing, with training and supervision
Assist with analysis of viral infections and support a variety of laboratory projects as needed
Maintain a high level of reliability, organization, attention to detail, and effective written and verbal communication while working in a team-based environment
Required Qualifications
Associate degree in biological sciences, or a closely related field, and two years of relevant experience equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience with handling clinical samples and performing “wet-lab” experiments

Important Details about the Position
This is an onsite position located in Ithaca, NY.
This is a full-time one-year term position with potential for extension contingent upon funding and performance.
We are unable to provide Visa sponsorship, now or in the future, for this position.
Relocation assistance will not be provided for this position.
The Technician II will be primarily appointed in the Whittaker lab but will also be expected to work in the Goodman lab at the Baker Institute for Animal Health. The typical work schedule will be two 8-hour days per week at each site (32h/week), with additional hours as needed up to 40h/week.
