ROAR Logistics is seeking a dynamic and driven Carrier Sales Representative to join our team. As a Carrier Sales Representative with at least 2 years of experience in the 3PL industry, you will play a crucial role in our operations, working both independently and collaboratively to ensure the efficient transportation of freight while optimizing margins and fostering strong carrier relationships.
Key Accountabilities and Outcomes
* Utilize industry knowledge and experience to source and secure qualified carriers for timely freight transportation, maximizing margins and minimizing risks.
* Develop and maintain a robust network of carriers to support ROAR's customer base and pre-plan carrier equipment usage for optimal efficiency.

* High School Diploma or equivalent GED required. Associate degree in Logistics, or one to two years of experience in the logistics industry preferred.
* Minimum of 1 year of experience in logistics operations.

Our Nestlé Purina factory in Dunkirk is strategically located along Lake Erie's Historic Chadwick Bay Harbor, which is situated 50 miles southwest of Buffalo, New York. With miles of Great Lakes waterfront and beaches, ski resorts, vineyards and boutique wineries, our associates are proud to call Dunkirk a hidden gem. Since its opening in 1971, various expansions to the processing and warehousing towers have taken place to accommodate increasing production of great brands like Pro Plan, Beggin, T-Bonz, and Busy. In 2016, the facility accomplished "Zero Waste to Landfill" status meaning all discarded materials are directed to destinations that specialize in recovering the ecological and/or economic value of the material. As a part of Nestlé sustainability efforts, we've also decreased our water usage by 20% since 2012 and power our production using 65% renewable energy, a number that continues to increase.
As a CDL-A Yard Jockey / Forklift Operator, we will count on you to safely and efficiently operate both forklifts and yard equipment. In this role, you'll become a certified forklift operator and will be responsible for reviewing and actively participating in risk assessments. Join our dynamic team and conduct pre-operational checks on yard equipment and move trailers to the dock or various yard locations.
* Safely operate, monitor and problem solve throughout the yard
* Safely operate a forklift with duties such as loading and unloading trucks, line hauling, and stocking.
* Monitor storage reefer temperatures and fuel levels
* Assist carrier drivers on premises
* Perform preventative standard routines to include performance of basic lubrication, repairs, inspection, and identify defects to complete or coordinate repairs
* Maintain yard cleanliness and organization
Requirements
* High School Diploma or GED required
* Class A CDL required
* 6+ months experience of forklift or heavy equipment operation in warehouse or related environment required

* 1+ years experience of forklift or heavy equipment operation preferred.
* Must be open to working all shifts, overtime and weekends.
The approximate hourly pay for this position is $21.72 an hour to start. The pay progression plan follows: Introductory Stage 1 $23.50 Introductory Stage 2 $25.85, Bid Operator rate $33.82 when fully qualified.
