About the Housekeeper Position:
The housekeeper hired for this open position should be customer-service oriented with excellent communication and organizational skills. She/he should be able to get along easily with others and have the ability to build a rapport with customers. This person should also be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Under the supervision of the Housekeeping Supervisor and Environmental Services Director, the housekeeper's primary responsibilities are to clean and service apartments, baths, and offices throughout the community. Primary responsibilities include:
Cleaning and servicing apartments, baths, and offices.
Cleaning, mopping, sweeping floors, dusting, and damp wiping window sills.
Emptying wastebaskets.
Scouring and polishing bathtubs, sinks, mirrors, and similar equipment.
Dusting furniture and equipment.
Cleaning and polishing chrome, glass panels in doors, and partitions.
Spot cleaning walls.
Dusting baseboards.
Arranging furniture in public areas in an orderly fashion.
Replenishing supplies (soap, paper towels, toilet paper, etc).
Disinfect toilets with proper germicidal.
Keep housekeeping closets and storage closets in good order by cleaning the area and arranging supplies and equipment.
Sweeping and wet mopping floors.
Performance requirements
Responsible for cleanliness and servicing of the assigned area, care of cleaning equipment by following the Housekeeping Department's cleaning procedures/ Efficient expenditures of soaps, waxes, polishes, and similar supplies, along with a neat personal appearance.
Performs a variety of related housekeeping duties as assigned by management or as may be required to meet emergency or other specific situations.
Job Requirements
The ideal candidate must have a genuine interest in geriatric care and must believe in and uphold the philosophy and rules of the community. She/he must be willing to perform routine, repetitive tasks on a continuous basis and perform tasks with due consideration for residents in the vicinity. The ideal candidate must take initiative and use good judgment to maintain their assigned area in a clean and orderly condition. In addition, the ideal candidate must be able to meet the following criteria:
Must be at least 18 years old
Must have the ability to work well with and cooperate with other employees.

Must be able to stand, walk in a limited area, climb stairs, turn, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push, pull, and handle cleaning, dusting, and scrubbing.

Must be able to demonstrate exemplary customer service skills
Must be able to demonstrate sound communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

About the Utility Aide Position:
Under the supervision of the cook's supervisor, the Utility worker cleans dishes, pots, pans, glassware, and silver by hand or machine. The Utility Aide is responsible for assuring the dishwasher is maintained, changing the water, and cleaning frequently. The Utility Worker will also fill out dish temperature logs, transports tableware to proper places in dining rooms and kitchen, and clean work areas. He or she may assist in cutting, peeling, and washing fruits and vegetables for Cooks, pushcarts into various dining areas, and set food on steam tables. The Utility Aide is responsible for garbage removal from the kitchen areas and sweeping, mopping, and hosing down floors thoroughly at the end of the evening shift.

About the Maintenance Mechanic Position:
Under the supervision of the Facility Operations Manager, the Maintenance Technician performs scheduled and as-needed repairs in compliance with established Facility Operations safety policies and procedures. The Maintenance Mechanic performs duties both inside and outside of the facility. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• performing interior and exterior repairs on both a scheduled and as-needed basis, and coordinating repair work with other departments;
• assisting in fire alarm tests and participating in fire drills and emergency evacuation exercises;

About the Cafe Attendant Position:
If you are friendly, sociable, love the elderly, smile, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, this may be a job for you! Under the supervision of the Executive Chef, the caf attendant is responsible for working the food line, preparing smoothies, and/or bussing according to requests, preparation methods, portion control, time schedules, and sanitary standards and serving procedures set forth by the dining department.

About the Cook Position:
The cook hired for this open position should be creative, customer service oriented, and fit well into this type of culture. Riddle Village offers a competitive salary and a positive work environment with opportunities to grow within the company.

About the Maintenance Mechanic Position:
Under the supervision of the Facility Operations Manager, the Maintenance Technician performs scheduled and as-needed repairs in compliance with established Facility Operations safety policies and procedures. The primary purpose of the Charge Nurse/RN position is to assist in and supervise our residents' day-to-day nursing care (physical, emotional, and social) in the healthcare center. Such assistance and supervision must be in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our facility and as may be required by the Director of Nursing Services or Nurse Supervisor to ensure the highest degree of quality care is always maintained. Candidates must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an RN in the state of Pennsylvania.
