Work schedule is Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Performs experienced service maintenance work operating moderately complex automotive vehicles or equipment and performing routine automotive service and maintenance.
REQUIREMENTS: One (1) year of experience operating moderately complex Public Works vehicles and equipment, including a ten (10) wheel standard shift dump truck and tractor mowers used in the construction and maintenance of transportation infrastructure, including roads, drainage systems, and sidewalks. Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis. Experience documenting work using a work management system and mobile device that includes opening and closing work orders and uploading photo documentation is preferred. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida Class B Commercial Driver's license and maintain said license during the term of employment. This is heavy physical work that involves exposure to extreme weather conditions, construction debris, moving machinery, traffic, noise, dirt, and dust. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.

Coordinate with scheduling and front line teams to ensure effective communication to riders where relevant.
Propose and implement improvement strategies to optimize ride plans, ensuring better alignment of rides with driver shifts.
Lead a night-before ride plan process and preparation to ensure rides correctly assigned to drivers and vehicles the following day.
Recommend solutions or process enhancements to improve operational efficiency.
Respond to service issues and implement corrective actions in a timely manner.
Participate in training and development programs to stay updated with industry best practices and advancements in paratransit operations.

POSITION SUMMARY:
* The Operator I is responsible for the consistent operation of various machines and/or operation of support equipment related to the production process. Other duties are outlined based on specific department requirements.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Perform machine operations and control.
* Follow machine start up and shutdown procedure.
* Follow applicable work instructions.
