The Production Operator focuses on setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting manufacturing production (i.e., machining, processing, assembly, or packaging) equipment including: Operating machine tool, chemical processing, assembly, or packaging equipment to manufacture products according to production specifications, schedules, volume/cost/wastage targets, and quality standards •Moving, packing, and sorting raw materials or finished goods •Monitoring the quality of output to identify, discard, or re-manufacture faulty products •Maintaining accurate daily production records as input to manufacturing performance analysis and examines production materials for processing. **A Brief Summary of This Position**
The primary responsibility of the Cutoff Operator is to set up and operate cutoff equipment to ensure steel tubing is produced at precise lengths with minimal burr or scarf. This position requires attention to detail, including checking the pipe for dents, scratches, and other surface imperfections, as well as inspecting both the inside and outside of the pipe. The Cutoff Operator will also assist with setup tasks such as adjusting tape measures, changing out tools for different cuts (including bevel and square), and supporting quality inspection by cutting samples for review. The position involves logging shift reports and scrap data, as well as performing changeovers, such as swapping clamps or tools, based on the production requirements. The Cutoff Operator will work closely with the lead to follow production orders and ensure quality standards are met consistently, including managing scrap rates and ensuring the correct length of pipe is produced.

+ Set up andoperatevarious cutoff equipment, including three flying lathe-style cutoffs, one flying bandsaw cutoff, and two flying friction cutoffs, ensuring precise tube lengths within specified tolerances.
+ Perform all necessary quality checks, including measuring flash control, tube length, surface condition, weld seams, wall tolerance, O.D. and I.D. sizing, and other attributes as per the production card to produce a high-quality product.

Overview
The postion of Zamboni Operator is responsible for the safe operation of the ice resurfacer (Zamboni), maintenance of all areas pertaining to and pr involved in maintaining a quality sheet of ice for USHL hockey team. The Zamboni operator will work on both the Liberty First Credit Union Arena ice sheet, and the Community Rink Ice Sheet.
This role pays an hourly rate of $16.00 to $18.00

Responsibilities
Responsible for occasional maintenance and repair of rink equipment to include, but not limited to: Zamboni, dasher system, sub floor, tempered glass, acrylic glass, safety netting, Jet Ice systems, edgers, goal nets, etc.
Work with facilities department to provide optimal ice conditions for all ice events.
Oversee aspects of ice installation and removal.
Assist operations department to expedite event conversions.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Previous experience as an operator for Zamboni Ice Resurfacing preferred
Experience with heavy machines is a plus
Solid understanding of OSHA rules and regulations
Must be comfortable working in a cold environment for extended periods of time

A Brief Summary of This Position
The primary responsibility of the Cutoff Operator is to set up and operate cutoff equipment to ensure steel tubing is produced at precise lengths with minimal burr or scarf. This position requires attention to detail, including checking the pipe for dents, scratches, and other surface imperfections, as well as inspecting both the inside and outside of the pipe. The Cutoff Operator will also assist with setup tasks such as adjusting tape measures, changing out tools for different cuts (including bevel and square), and supporting quality inspection by cutting samples for review. The position involves logging shift reports and scrap data, as well as performing changeovers, such as swapping clamps or tools, based on the production requirements. The Cutoff Operator will work closely with the lead to follow production orders and ensure quality standards are met consistently, including managing scrap rates and ensuring the correct length of pipe is produced.
Essential Functions.
Set up and operate various cutoff equipment, including three flying lathe-style cutoffs, one flying bandsaw cutoff, and two flying friction cutoffs, ensuring precise tube lengths within specified tolerances.
Perform all necessary quality checks, including measuring flash control, tube length, surface condition, weld seams, wall tolerance, O.D. and I.D. sizing, and other attributes as per the production card to produce a high-quality product.
Ensure minimal burr and scarf when cutting tubes and adjust machine setups to maintain consistent cuts, preventing distortion at the tube ends.
Operate computer-controlled equipment and ensure the correct setup of the cutoffs.
Perform flattening and flare tests as necessary.
Track and record data, including footage produced, orders completed, and elapsed times, ensuring accurate documentation of all production activities.
Collaborate with end preps and bundlers to ensure efficient communication and maintain smooth production flow. Assist with setup of blowout and turkshead to control product straightness and ovality.
Maintain accurate records of inspection sheets, production cards, and metallurgical lab reports, ensuring compliance with customer specifications.
Maintain inventory control over tools, ensuring adequate supplies and readiness for production.
Safely lift up to 20 pounds frequently throughout the shift and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in adherence to safety policies.
Perform preventive maintenance on the cutoff machine and sizing section to ensure proper functionality and minimize downtime.
Handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, anticipating potential issues and adjusting plans as needed to adapt to changes in steel properties or mill conditions.
Provide accurate measurements for steel by reading portable C.I.R stations and cut samples for quality analysis when required.
