DescriptionThis position is WEEKENDS ONLY. Position will begin early/mid February. Must be able to work Friday, Saturday and Sunday. As well as 2 weeks of Spring Break. A Ride Operator must have the ability to operate rides safely and correctly. This position calls for someone who is very people oriented. Verbal communication skills are extremely important. Must have a complete understanding of the ride operator process and must enjoy working outdoors. A ride operator must be able to work well under pressure, be a team player, and be customer service oriented. Requirements Must have excellent guest service skills. Must be able to operate mechanical amusement rides safely and correctly. Must work honestly and efficiently. Must be able to work independently. Must follow park safety guidelines and procedures. Must be willing to help other departments as needed. Responsible for checking work schedule and being on time when scheduled to work. Salary Description $12.00/hour

The primary duty of the RAFT Operator is to provide oversight for fishing tool services at a well site for the correction of a downhole issue. This role uses supervisory and functional management skills for problem solving and has the knowledge and ability to operate all RAFT tools, equipment, and operations to correct downhole issues while working efficiently to exceed customers' expectations. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Uses critical thinking to diagnose the cause of problems and develop a strategy for correcting the problem Drives vehicle with trailer loaded with tools to job and from site to perform operations Determines the need and use of equipment when on a fishing job which includes how to properly condition hole and the preparation necessary to begin fishing operation Advises customer on the technical procedures to perform fishing operation as well as provides instruction on procedures for tools and equipment for the job Leads and has oversight when resolving downhole problems. The Hydrovac Operator will be responsible for the operation of hydrovac equipment to perform non-destructive excavation around underground utilities and pipelines. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, precision, and efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Safely and efficiently operate hydrovac trucks and equipment to excavate around underground utilities, pipelines, and other structures. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and the team. Conduct regular safety checks and maintenance of equipment. Prepare job sites for excavation by assessing site conditions, identifying potential hazards, and coordinating with site supervisors and other team members. Perform precise excavation activities, including trenching, potholing, and daylighting, while avoiding damage to underground utilities. Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of hydrovac equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Communicate professionally with clients and other stakeholders on-site to ensure project requirements are met and address any concerns. Maintain, clean and care for all assigned equipment. Qualifications Qualifications and Education Requirements: Minimum of 5 years of experience operating hydrovac equipment or similar machinery. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record. Certification in hydrovac operation or similar field is a plus. Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills. Ability to read and interpret site plans and blueprints. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and working in various weather conditions. Strong commitment to safety practices and procedures. Knowledge of OSHA regulations and other safety standards. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with team members and communicate effectively with clients. Work Environment: This role is situated within an outdoor environment and regularly will be conducted in various weather conditions. In this role, you will contribute to the development and deployment of the company's engineering testing capabilities including assembly, maintenance and operation of large-scale hardware and equipment. This role will require the individual to start and work on-site in Albuquerque, NM for approximately 2 years in preparation for our operation in Oak Ridge, TN. Long-term, this individual may have the opportunity to transition and support operations on-site at our facility in Oak Ridge, TN. The ideal candidate takes pride in his/her hands-on work, organizational skills, has experience in 24/7 plant or large-scale testing operations, and will ultimately contribute to the training and transfer of knowledge/key learnings between operators at each location. Maintain proper maintenance and cleaning of all equipment including pumps, sprayers, nozzles, hoses, catch basins, etc. Complete checklists as required. Maintain clear communication with fellow co-workers and management. Dispose of materials properly according to EPA requirements. Ensure that permits, pictures, QAQC and all railcar documentation is completed and distributed to all necessary parties. Adhere to production schedules and maintaining regular attendance as required by a predetermined work schedule. REQUIREMENTS Ability to climb ladders, tolerate confined spaces and heights, bend, stoop, stretch, lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs overhead on a consistent basis. This includes working safely around heavy equipment and on top of, under and inside railcars, and railroad tracks. Ability and willingness to work outside in adverse weather conditions. Willingness and ability to wear safety equipment such as, but not limited to, respirators, safety shoes eye protection, hearing protection, gloves, hard hats, and a variety of protective suits. Ability to operate a computer to perform daily work activities, with an understanding of basic computer software (MS Word, MS Excel). Ability and willingness to be trained on Hazwoper courses, Confined Spacing, First-Aid, Hazardous Materials, and other required safety and/or OSHA training. Knowledge of equipment and tools required to perform safe entry for cleaning (Familiarity with Sandblasting / Power Washing equipment). Ability to follow oral or written instructions. Have vision correctable to 20/20 for inspection activities. Ability to pass a company required physical examination and drug and alcohol screen. Ability to pass a company required respiratory wellness test and respirator fit test. Have a valid driver's license. Availability to work overtime hours. Availability to travel approximately 30% of the time including overnight stays from either mobile or other fixed job sites. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position has no direct oversites. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE A High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is preferred. A minimum of 6 months of proven successful experience in a transloading and/or freight/tank car experience is preferred; a combination of education and experience will be considered. Under the general direction of the Wastewater Superintendent, this position is responsible for performing duties for operations, laboratory analysis, maintenance and repair of the wastewater treatment facilities and the collection system. This position has been classified as a safety sensitive position and is subject to our drug testing policy to include pre-employment, random, reasonable suspicion and post-accident for the following prohibited substances: marijuana, amphetamines, opioids, phencyclidine (PCP), and cocaine, as well as any drug not approved for medical use by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration or the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. * Collects and conducts tests on wastewater and sludge including biochemical oxygen demand (BOD), dissolved oxygen, temperature, pH, suspended, dissolved and total solids, Chemical Oxygen Demand, TKN, nitrates, fecal coliform, calibration of dissolved oxygen and pH meters and other tests deemed necessary to maintain operational compliance. Collects samples for the WWTP operational controls and for the Industrial Pretreatment Program, and conducts test to monitor compliance with regulations. Inspects and maintains laboratory facility machinery and equipment. * Inspects, maintains, and operates treatment facility machinery and equipment such as pumps, bar-screen, vacuums, aerators, compressors, motors, tractors, loaders, rotating bridges, composting equipment, and the belt press. Cleans equipment and filters, makes minor adjustments and repairs as required. Reads gauges, observes flow, and maintains daily logs of operations. Maintains records of collection and treatment processes maintenance and repairs. Performs preventive maintenance program on plant equipment, buildings, grounds and implements. Excavates with backhoe, bobcat, shovels, picks and other hand tools around sewer lines exposing problem areas. Identifies, through locates, gas, water, electrical, cable and fiber optic lines prior to digging out city sewer line. Leads daily activities of employees in the construction, maintenance and repair of the wastewater collection system and the treatment facility. Maintains WWTP landscaping, farm crops, and farm operations. Keeps current and up-to-date records on all O & M manuals for the wastewater division. * Maintains orders and picks up spare parts, chemical inventories, supplies and materials needed for repair, maintenance and compliance of the wastewater division. * Assists in the attainment of department goals and objectives related to Master, Strategic and Comprehensive Plans. Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly with City Administration, department directors, consultants, vendors, staff, and the public to provide quality services. Participates various projects. Keeps immediate supervisor fully and accurately informed on issues. Identifies areas of concern for management for review and potential action. * Leads and provides guidance to staff. Monitors work, trains, counsels, coaches, and instructs employees in order to meet established goals and objectives. Ensures adherence to established policies and procedures to remain in compliance with local, state, and federal rules, regulations, and policies. Enforces work safety practices and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Recommends adjustments to procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness of operations. * Assists and participates in the execution of short and long-range plans. * Ensures effective and efficient use of budgeted funds, personnel, materials, facilities and time. * No specific education requirements * One (1) year of experience in the operation and maintenance of wastewater plants and facilities, or an equivalent combination of education and experience that would likely produce the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. * Valid driver's license equivalent to a New Mexico Class "B" Commercial driver's license, including the appropriate endorsements (or able to obtain within six (6) months) * New Mexico Level II Wastewater Operator Certificate. Physical Requirements: Stand or sit for prolonged periods of time. Occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist. Lift, carry, push, and/or pull moderate to heavy amounts of weight. Use repetitive hand movements, fine coordination and manual dexterity which permits the employee to operate office equipment and computer systems, hand and power tools. Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing to permit the employee to discern verbal instructions, use a phone, radio, and communicate with others and drive and operate motorized vehicles. Sufficient visual acuity which permits the employee to comprehend written work instructions. Working Conditions: Work typically performed outdoors in a wastewater setting with frequent travel to various sites and facilities. Regular attendance is an essential function of this job to ensure continuity of services. Occasional work beyond normal business hours. Required to work in or with water, on slippery or uneven surfaces, airborne particles, potentially toxic and/or caustic chemicals, and extreme temperatures, travel from site to site, work around traffic. Use of safety shoes, glasses and other equipment is required. Position is subject to drug testing and regular driver's license monitoring in accordance with applicable State and Federal regulations and City of Clovis policies.
