Assists the students with all safety facets while en-route, as well as the boarding and disembarking, and seatbelts. Develop a positive professional relationship with parents, school staff, and students. Sits in an area on the vehicle to ensure observation of all passengers at all times & make sure they are following safety rules. Assists the driver in reporting bus safety or conducts issues by students. Is aware of problems between students and keeping those students separated by assigning seats. Evacuate students from vehicle as trained in case of emergency. Assists driver with pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Maintains student conduct at all times. Ensures students take their belongings as they leave the vehicle. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor. Ability to handle stressful situations. Qualifications: Must be able to pass pre-employment background. High School Diploma or GED preferred. Proficiency in English, both verbal and written. Clean Background Check and Driving Record. Reliable attendance. Prior PMT is a plus and may be provided by the district. Ability to receive and carry out instructions to perform work. Rate of Pay: $20/hr Approximately 2.5 - 5 hrs/day

Respond to Tier 1 and Tier 2 behaviors and implement a positive behavior management system in order to improve student behavior and enhance academic skills. Provide information and material to parents to assist in the location and utilization of school and community services and resources; refer parents to school services or community resources as appropriate. QUALIFICATIONS: * Strong interpersonal skills and human relations skills. * Ability to respect the rights of all students and the rules of confidentiality. * Ability to implement behavioral techniques that are ethically and culturally responsive. * Prior experience working in a school setting and/or implementing restorative discipline models is preferred. * Transportation and a valid driver's license are required for frequent home visits and meetings throughout the community. Spanish and Portuguese speaking are preferred but not required.
