Maintenance Supervisor Job in East Greenville, PA
Provide day-to-day supervision and direction for the maintenance department with the goal of meeting commitments made to customers relating to quality, service and delivery.
6PM - 6:15AM
Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday
Week 2: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinate with Reliability Manager, Operations, Maintenance Planner, Mechanics and others as needed to help ensure proper scheduling and completion of maintenance work.
Validate and prioritize work requests.
Relay any needed information to supervisors, value stream managers, 2
shift, and weekend shifts.
Fill out daily, weekly & monthly maintenance reports.
Work with our CMMS program to ensure work order information is accurate and up to date.
Validate work requests, prioritize work orders, and assist as necessary with planning and scheduling and assign work orders.
Manage work order scheduling and backlog for the department.
Follow up on work to ensure it is done correctly and in a timely manner.
Oversee training of employees.
Coordinate activities to assure maintenance department's goals are met and maintained.
Provide technical support and training opportunities to others in the maintenance department.
Ensure work areas and equipment is maintained in a clean, orderly and safe condition.
Follow lockout tag out and any other safety regulations; ensure others in the department follow all safety requirements.
Follow SOP's and training standards as established for the department.
Must adhere to plant policies and ensure others in the department also follow policies.
Lead CIT teams to identify process improvements.
Must be able to provide performance feedback to all mechanics during the year and for the yearly evaluation.
Assist other maintenance personnel as needed or required.
Work to develop continuous improvement not only in the maintenance department, but across the plant.
Will be required to perform other duties as requested, assigned, and directed.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:
Experience in a maintenance department.
Supervisory experience in a fast paced, multi-functional group.
Must possess a general knowledge of all equipment throughout the facility.
A good understanding of general maintenance practices and procedures.
An understanding of reactive, preventative, predictive and proactive maintenance practices.
Good root cause and trouble shooting skills.
Ability to multi-task, work on more than one issue at a time.
Detail orientated and organized.
Computer literate must be familiar with current software such as Microsoft Office, Excel skills.
Strong communication skills, listening skills, problem solving skills and conflict resolution skills.
Strong understanding and commitment to safe work practices.
Ability to positively build teams for continuous improvement of processes.
Must deal with heat, noise, dust.
Must be able to climb, walk, lift up to 50 lbs., and stand for prolonged periods of time.
Will be on feet for majority of a day.
