POSITION DESCRIPTION DETAILS In this role, the Heavy Equipment Operator must operator a variety of heavy equipment safely and effectively. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE Operate heavy equipment (dozers, front end loaders, backhoes, excavators, grinders, compactors) efficiently and safely. Produce a consistent quality product with no customer complaints. Coordinate with Project Manager and transportation to ensure necessary equipment, fuel, tools, and materials are available. Work directly with Heavy Equipment Shop to ensure all equipment is operating at a safe level. Perform manual labor when necessary. Complete daily inspection of equipment at start and end of shift. Clean off machines inside and out daily (tracks, cab, lift arms, battery boxes, buckets). Ensure equipment is fueled and serviced daily. Complete daily equipment inspection sheet Complete daily labor/equipment log/form QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE CDL A class driver license in good standing. Heavy Equipment Operator Job Description Summary: Operates various pieces of heavy equipment (graders, dozers, scrapers, excavators, etc.) to move, level, and distribute earth and to push trees and rocks from land preparatory to constructing roads and buildings. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Operates assigned equipment safely and efficiently, which could include driving a company vehicle. Performs daily maintenance checks of machinery for fluids, grease, etc. Ability to be fluid/smooth with the machine controls to cut ditches, slopes, grades, clear brush, shape and dress slopes and other earthmoving activities. Maintain grade by either communicating with a grade checker, using machine mounted lasers, or by use on machine mounted GPS as well as without the use of GPS. Ability to setup, set, and take down rotating laser equipment/base station. A Successful HDD Operator is specially trained and has expertise in locating for horizontal/directional drill rigs and product support equipment. This individual will be primarily responsible for setup and completion of drilling variable sized underground bore holes and pulling back required conduit/pipe. As a Directional Driller/Equipment Operator, you are responsible for running a variety of directional drilling equipment; Directional Drill, (Vermeer and/or Ditch Witch) Vac. A Successful HDD Operator is specially trained and has expertise in locating for horizontal/directional drill rigs and product support equipment. This individual will be primarily responsible for setting up and completing drilling variable-sized underground boreholes and pulling back the required conduit/pipe.
