Operational Rigour Oversight Manager - Vice President (Risk & Controls)

As a Barclays Operational Rigour Oversight Manager, you will join us to become responsible for driving multiple key strategic activities which include identifying and addressing control gaps across products and processes within the business. While working with the business, you will assist with developing the risk aspects of the operating model, driving regulatory understanding and change across the Corporate Bank in the US, as well as overseeing the front to back processes and risk and controls in relation to the products we sell.

What will you be doing?

* Acting as first line of defense function that plays a leading role in driving the Conduct and Issue Management strategy across aligned Products and Coverage
* Supporting Head of Operational Rigour in reviewing risk and controls and ensuring that E2E risk responsibilities under the Enterprise Risk Management Framework are met
* Leading in key Product/Coverage -wide and related risk and control initiatives
* Completing data analysis and provide insightful, practical and actionable conclusions
* Leading in identifying and addressing risks and control gaps in E2E processes
* Reviewing monthly analysis in relation to key risk indicators (complaints, risk events, breaches and refunds) to establish action plans to help mitigate recurring instances
* Providing business support and oversight in relation to the Product/Coverage review cycle

What we're looking for:

* Knowledge of corporate banking products with prior experience working with or within the business on Risk/Controls, Audit/ Compliance or Business/ Product teams
* Knowledge of the Barclays and Corporate Banking governance frameworks, policies and procedures
* Excellent stakeholder management skills and experience of engaging with senior management teams
* Ability to analyse data and provide insightful and actionable findings

Skills that will help you in the role:

* Previous experience or knowledge of Risk Management, RCSA and Controls processes is preferred

Where will you be working?

You will be working at our Americas Headquarters at 745 Seventh Avenue. This 32-story office tower is located in Times Square in the heart of Manhattan and features a cafeteria, fitness center and state-of-the-art LED signage on the facade of the building.

The Rig Manager is the Company's Representative who is responsible for the day to day drilling operations ongoing on the drilling rig. The Rig Manager reports to the Drilling Superintendent.
Key Relevant Tasks:

· Ensuring safe and efficient drilling operations to meet the Company and

customer's goals and objectives in a safe and efficient manner. This includes:

Ø the safety and welfare of all Company and contract personnel

Ø the efficient and productive use of company resources, equipment, personnel,

supplies, etc.

Ø the proper maintenance and repair/upkeep of the rig and support equipment

Ø trouble shooting / problem solving to reduce down time to an absolute minimum

· Ensuring a first class working relationship and communication with the contracting company personnel

· Maintain compliance with all federal, state and corporate policies, procedures, rules and regulations that relate to the drilling for oil and gas

· Organizing, delegating and supervising the activities to ensure the preventive maintenance, housekeeping and repairs of the rig and its critical equipment are performed in a timely manner to ensure operational usage when needed

· Proper planning and ongoing operations for rig moves are performed in a safe and efficient manner

· Provide effective leadership and management to the employees working on the drilling rig to:

Ø maximize performance, job satisfaction and retention

Ø manage and resolve conflict timely

Ø model respectful behavior to promote the same

Ø work with the Driller to ensure ongoing training and development of employees

working on the drilling rig so as to meet the employee's career goals while at the

same time meeting the needs of the company

· Work with Safety and Training Representative, promote a climate of safety to people, equipment and the environment is maintained as a matter of practice for all company, third party and visitors on the drilling rig

· Work in the capacity of a Driller when there is no qualified Driller on the rig

Essential Functions:

· Attention span to stay alert and attentive for up to 12 hour tour. Depending on the contract, may be on call for up to 24 hours

· Able to works 7 or 14 days on and 7 or 14 days off, including holidays, weekends and or days and nights.

Able to work well with others while working in a close environment for extended periods of time

· Make important judgment decisions that affect the safety of the crew

· Give written and verbal instructions clearly and concisely

· Ensure all time data entry is accurate and processed as required

· Coordinate staffing needs and crew changes with the district Human Resources Supervisor

· Must have advanced knowledge of emergency shut-in procedures and be able to respond to any emergency efficiently

· Able to stand or stand and walk throughout the tour while wearing steel toed boots. Occasionally climb steep stairs and walking on steel decking as well as gravel, board roads and area that can be covered in drilling fluids, mud, snow and ice.

· Must be able to stand or stand and walk for a minimum of 2 hours at any one time without the ability to sit or otherwise get off his / her feet.

· Must be able to maintain a variety of postures including stooping, squatting, kneeling or crawling.

· Must be able to repetitively climb stairs and ladders as well as be able to lift and carry items weighing upwards of 35 lbs

· Assist the Superintendent with trouble shooting and problem solving duties and decisive manner.

· Other duties as required by the Superintendent

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:
· Ability to perform essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodations
· Minimum of 4 years rig experience as a Driller for Nabors Drilling USA or 3 years of experience as a Rig Manager for another drilling company
· Must possess strong knowledge of Windows and Microsoft office computer systems
· Ability to communicate effectively with employees and management via verbal, written or e-mail methods
· Advanced level of mechanical knowledge of rotary equipment, mud circulating systems, well shut-in procedures, ability to recognize signs of kick and loss of fluid situations as well as the procedures for circulating kick out, i.e., trip tank level and mud weight change.
· Must possess a good working knowledge of rigging procedures.
· General knowledge of safety and environmental regulations/requirements
· Ability to wear respiratory protective devices
· Must have reliable transportation to and from the rig

Preferred Qualifications:
· High school diploma or recognized equivalent
· AC and/or SCR Rig experience
· Completion of Certified Supervisory Well Control course that is unexpired

The Rigging Coordinator is responsible for the management and safe execution of rigging events in an Encore approved rigging venue. The Rigging Coordinator approves all Rigging designs using structural data and weight load limits for both internal and external rigging production needs. This position schedules labor and supervises team members to ensure compliance of the rigging standard operating procedures. This position reports to the Area Mgr, Rigging.
Key Job Responsibilities

Staff Development

• Supervise Riggers on show site.

• Hire, train, develop full-time Riggers.

• Assist in all aspects of team member training, career development, and performance management.

• Develop a pool of part-time Riggers who can be called upon to aid on a local and regional basis.

• Provide consistent leadership for Rigging Services support to our venue team members.

Safety Compliance

• Provide necessary rigging safety compliance information to Area Mgr, Rigging, to ensure completion of field assessments within assigned region.

• Assist with periodic site inspections of new and existing facilities and evaluation of safety of existing rigging points.

• Perform load calculations and approve working load limits on all shows and events.

• Utilize CAD software to assist production companies with analysis of weight distributions of suspended loads.

Equipment Compliance

• Review compliance on all OSHA regulations and standards pertaining to fall protection.

• Make recommendations and escalate compliance and safety needs to the Area Mgr, Rigging.

• Ensure compliance with annual equipment certification procedures established by Encore.

• Provide recommendations to assist in the selection of rigging equipment to best meet the needs of our teams and clients.

• Review the accepted technical and safety standards within the industry and assist in implementation.

Equipment/Labor Management

• Coordinate and schedule all labor and equipment to facilitate the load-in and load-out of all events requiring rigging services.

Operations

• Attend major production site visits or other events as necessary to ensure the safety and efficiency of the show.

• Assist in the creation of Encore produced shows to ensure timeline efficiency and standard operating procedure compliance including motor maintenance program, point inspections, training, ground supported structures and aerial performances.

• Assist in leading and overseeing cross-functional team activities from initial concept to final delivery.

Job Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent

• 4+ years of experience in rigging in either the entertainment, theatrical or production environment, including but not limited to, working as both ground and overhead rigger with Encore and its Rigging team

• 2+ years effectively managing rigging teams, preferably of 10+ Riggers

• ETCP certification

• Qualified-Basic Rigging certification

• Lift certification

• Lift operation experience

• Ground operation experience

• High rigging with harness experience

• Working knowledge of CAD (Auto Sketch, VectorWorks, AutoCAD, LD Assistant or other) software.

• Ability to interact professionally and effectively with customers and leadership teams

• Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, Word and Powerpoint

Work Environment

Hotel

Work is performed in a hotel/convention center environment with moderate exposure to outdoor temperatures and to dirt, sand and/or dust. The working conditions will vary between moderately quiet to noisy volumes. Team members will use high-end audio-visual equipment and electrical components and will be exposed to heights via lifts and ladders. Team members may be asked to work in multiple hotel locations. Working times will include irregular hours and on-call status including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Team members must adhere to appearance guidelines as defined by Encore based on an individual hotel or a representation of hotels in that city or area. Travel up to 50%.
