Usually, riggers don't need a college education. The most common degree for riggers is high school diploma with 50% graduates, with only 15% rigger graduates earning bachelor's degree. Riggers who decided to graduate from college often finish Nicholls State University or Full Sail University. Some good skills to have in this position include cranes, hand tools and hoisting.
