Main Duties & Responsibilities
Primary Job Role
Maintain company standards in housekeeping and contamination control.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures.
Responsible for interviewing, hiring, coaching, mentoring and training warehouse employees. Including annual performance reviews.
Confers with Parts Manager and department heads to ensure warehouse activities are aligned with departmental / corporate goals and initiatives.
Monitor all warehouse operational procedures such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials, weekly audit reporting and keeping parts/warehouse inventory current.
Monitor all activities associated with WMS. Including prioritizing order pulling, delivery times, individual employee pulling data and performance.
Responsible for employee schedules, attendance and punctuality.
Performs other duties as assigned.

What We Offer
Compensation: This is a salaried non-exempt role. This means that employees are paid a salary and also receive overtime pay when they work more than 40 hours in a week (or as otherwise required by state law). The starting salary range for this role and market is between $45,050- $55,650 annually. Factors that may affect starting salary include geography/market and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
Employees in this role are also eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the Company's applicable plan.

What You'll Do
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Properly follow company and OSHA safety procedures. Attend safety meetings and participate in safety program.
Operate heavy equipment of various sizes including cranes and loaders, etc.
Duties include, but are not limited to: loading scrap material onto shredder feed conveyor, pushing shred pile up, moving material throughout the yard, and/or loading trucks and railcars, etc.
Perform daily inspections on equipment reporting any defects or needed repairs to supervisor.
Keep grounds clear of debris while maintaining safety standards.
Operate small equipment such as a forklift or skid steer if needed.
General labor duties that may include but not limited to sweeping, shoveling and general clean-up of any area and/or equipment throughout the yard.
Effectively communicate over radio with teammates for traffic coordination, production, and safety procedures.
Willing to cross-train in other positions and assist other employees as needed.
Other duties as assigned by your manager.
What You'll Need:
Minimum of 3-years previous heavy equipment operation in manufacturing environments, preferably in the scrap metal or construction industries.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, non-stop environment while providing excellent customer service.
Knowledge of heavy equipment operating principles, hazards and safety precautions as well as mechanical ability.
Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions.
Ability to adapt to frequent changes of priority and complete job tasks safely and effectively without constant supervision.
Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
Flexible to work overtime, off-hours, weekends, and holidays in an industrial environment which includes being outdoors in all weather conditions.
Bilingual preferred.

Basic Job Functions:

The Safety Engineer has direct responsibility for the development, implementation, and management of best-in-class safety and security standard operating procedures as well as multi-dimensional training and awareness programs division wide of a multi-location, safety driven scrap metal recycling company. Audit plants/facilities for safety compliance; follow up to correct deficiencies.
Work with plant core teams to investigate accidents and incidents.
Prepare and present monthly/annual training, and other monthly safety meeting topics.
Develop, revise, and implement site-specific safety policies and safe work procedures.
Perform air sampling and noise level testing as needed.
Approve safety supplies and personal protective equipment for use.
Enforce safety rules and help develop good employee safety attitudes during yard visits.
Ensure all documentation and recordkeeping is properly filled out, including accident logs and investigation reports.
Recommend company safety policy changes to corporate staff.
Serve as first contact for OSHA or other safety regulators.

Compensation:
This is an hourly non-exempt role. The salary range for this role and market is between $33,000 - $41,000 annually. Factors that may affect the starting salary include geography/market and the individual's tenure, performance, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
Employees in this role are not eligible for a bonus but do earn overtime when they work more than 40 hours in a week (or as otherwise required by state law).

Main Duties & Responsibilities
Primary Job Role Maintains a minimum set of tools required for job performance
Works in a neat, orderly, and safe manner while caring for and maintaining company machines/equipment.
Demonstrates utilization of dealer computer systems for work orders and other documentation.
Repairs or replaces defective parts on machinery/equipment. Disassembles components and properly clean parts. Inspects components to ensure maximum parts are being reused to control repair costs. Tests, diagnoses and adjusts failures of equipment.
Creates repair estimates and submits information to substantiate quotes and estimates. Prepares all parts requisitions, time cards, or service reports, as requested by the supervisor. Ensures they are legible and accurate with sufficient detail for service accounting needs.
Works under the guidance of a qualified shop or field service technician in the disassembly, repair, re-assembly and test of components.
Monitors job expenses versus repair estimates and ensures that the lead person is aware of any cost over run, prior to the job being completed. Assumes the lead person position temporarily, as necessary.
Maintains personal company service literature, and maintains a high awareness of technical changes in the industry.
