We are seeking qualified and experienced Journeyman Line Workers to join our collaborative, high-performing team at Kennecott Utah Copper, located just outside Salt Lake City, Utah. This critical role supports the safe generation, transmission, and distribution of electrical power across our site.
This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for certified professionals with hands-on experience in high-voltage electrical systems and a strong commitment to safety, aligned with MSHA standards and Rio Tinto's “Zero Harm” culture.
Reporting to the Supervisor - Energy Services working 4 days/week, 10 hours/day with some on-call duties, your responsibilities will include:
Install, maintain, and repair overhead and underground high-voltage power lines and related equipment
Perform high-voltage switching and energized work within Minimum Approach Distance (MAD)
Supervise and instruct Line Workers performing energized and de-energized work
Conduct inspections, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance on electrical infrastructure
Carry out tasks within substations and support site-wide electrical projects
Respond to emergency outages and participate in on-call rotations
Maintain accurate records of work performed, including fault findings and materials used
Follow Rio Tinto Kennecott safety standards and procedures, including lockout/tagout and arc flash
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and contributing to a high-performance maintenance team.
Beneficial Skills and Qualifications
CDL license (or willingness to obtain)
Experience training or mentoring others in the Line trade
Familiarity with power substation operations and terminology
Knowledge of relevant laws, codes, and regulations

Valid Journeyperson Lineman Certificate
Valid Driver's License
Minimum 5 years' experience in industrial, utility, or mining electrical systems
Proven ability to work safely with high-voltage systems (up to 25kV or higher)
Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and safe work practices
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
Excellent troubleshooting skills and experience with test equipment (e.g., multimeters, phasing meters)

We are looking for a seasoned professional with deep technical expertise in geoscience database management and a proven track record of supporting complex mining operations. This role is pivotal in supporting geosciences at Kennecott, and in enabling safe, efficient, and compliant project execution.
What You'll Be Responsible For:
Enable operational excellence by supporting real-time decision-making and reducing rework, license outages, and data-related delays and develop custom tools and visualizations to support technical workflows and improve data usability. Innovate data integration, testing new combinations of datasets to unlock deeper insights into the deposit. Lead proactive data governance and act as the single point of accountability for OBK database systems and technical software's. Document procedures and results, ensuring transparency and reproducibility.
Lead the management of the OBK (Orebody Knowledge) database systems, including ac Quire and SQL Server environments.
Ensure rigorous QA/QC and data validation protocols are followed to maintain compliance with Rio Tinto and JORC standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Drill & Blast, Geology, Resource, Ore Control, Hydrology, Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering, Mine Planning, and Metallurgy.
Develop and maintain custom tools, dashboards, and visualizations to support technical workflows and real-time decision-making.
