General activities will include:

Job Qualifications:


Master's degree in biological sciences or toxicology. Minimum 5 years of working experience in human health and/or ecological risk assessment. Consulting experience preferred. Working knowledge of state and federal regulatory frameworks (RCRA, CERCLA, NEPA, NRDA, etc.). Experience with water quality issues and soil / sediment contamination. Strong oral and written communication skills. Working knowledge of statistics, including ProUCL; sampling design, including Incremental Sampling Methodology and associated statistics and decision mechanisms; and MS Office applications. **Job Summary:**

As a Compliance Risk Assessment Program Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day execution of an enterprise-wide Compliance Risk Assessment program. The individual will work in close collaboration with senior compliance management, business-facing compliance staff, compliance SMEs, Legal, Enterprise Risk Management, front-line business partners, and other key stakeholders to ensure the effective and timely completion of compliance risk assessments.

**Major Responsibilities:**

+ Assist with the execution of the enterprise-wide Compliance Risk Assessment Program

+ Working either independently or as part of a team, execute testing programs and/or supervise the work of other Analysts that may be assisting on a review

+ Identify control and compliance issues, assess and document the related risk, and make reasonable recommendations for resolution

+ Assist in the identification and assessment of compliance risks and controls

+ Support Compliance Management in developing, implementing, and maintaining an enterprise-wide Compliance Program and culture of compliance

+ Promote a risk-aware culture, ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and processes

**Qualifications:**

+ 4+ years of regulatory compliance, audit, regulatory examination, compliance testing and/or risk management experience within a financial services company, consultancy, or regulatory agency

+ Ability to communicate effectively (both orally and in writing) with various levels of management

+ Excellent organizational and project management skills and the ability to execute on multiple projects and understand how they fit into the larger Compliance Management Program

+ Excellent analytical skills and the ability to discern the practical application of regulatory and legal requirements

+ Proficiency with MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel (Access, Project and / or Visio a plus)

Role description:

The Environmental Business Line of Arcadis is seeking a senior level human health toxicologist and risk assessor to help grow our risk assessment and toxicology community of practice. Arcadis brings a wide range of technical skills to creatively and effectively address our clients' biggest issues. Toxicology and risk assessment are often key components of the strategy that we provide our clients. As such, the successful candidate will have excellent creative problem solving, collaboration, and communication skills and will provide subject matter expertise in the field of human health toxicology and risk assessment, with a focus on environmental, workplace, and consumer settings. The successful candidate will be self-motivated and have a passion for life-long learning, identifying ways to leverage the principles of human health toxicology and risk assessment to serve the needs of others, and enhancing human and environmental health.

Role accountabilities:

* Developing business opportunities and nurturing/growing client relationships
* Developing strategies and approaches for for projects that focus on human health toxicology and/or risk assessment
* Designing, performing, and/or overseeing the execution of dose-response modeling, exposure modeling, and the development of hazard profiles for chemicals
* Negotiating with regulatory agencies (e.g., USEPA, State Environmental Agencies, OSHA)
* Representing Arcadis at professional meetings and societies
* Providing litigation support and expert testimony
* Helping to develop current staff and identify new talent in the areas of human health toxicology and risk assessment

Qualifications & Experience:

* Masters in toxicology or closely related field with at least 15 years of consulting or industry experience, or
* PhD in toxicology or closely related field with at least 10 years of consulting or industry experience
