Your Impact:
As the Head of Solutions Engineering in our Americas market you will operate as the team's Principal Solutions Architect and primary technical consultant (approx. 80% of time), personally driving the success of our largest, most strategic enterprise deals. What you will do:
Principal Technical Leadership & Strategy: Lead the technical strategy and execution for our largest, most complex global QSR prospects, serving as the hands-on Principal Solutions Engineer and Architect to accelerate deals to closure.
Architectural Design & Strategic Advisory: Analyze the customer's existing or proposed architecture to proactively identify product/integration gaps. About This RoleOur Market Risk team is hiring a Risk Manager to directly contribute to the risk management processes and tools of the team. Responsibilities:

Fire Protection Engineer (FPE)
The Position
The Fire Protection Engineer for Above Group shall contribute and support Fire Protection engineering, fire and life safety systems, code compliance, and risk assessment efforts for the firm. The FPE shall be a graduated engineer from an ABET accredited institution who shall directly contribute to the Firm and its success through engineering and design efforts. The ideal candidate will be capable of developing comprehensive fire protection plans and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. The FPE is also responsible for contributing to the growth of the team by leading and mentoring them in expanding their capabilities and contributions. The FPE shall execute engineering and design duties as required to ensure quality products.
The FPE shall be an Engineer registered as a Professional Engineer (PE) at a minimum (preference given to FPE licensed in Florida). Additional credentials are encouraged and desired.
The FPE is an Engineer by education and experience:
Ability to combine personal judgment with project information and knowledge of codes and standards to implement design criteria.

The compensation that we expect to pay for this junior engineer position is commensurate with years of experience, degree, geographical location and education but should range in the $72.000 to $90,000 range.

ABOUT THE ROLE You will be a member of our multi-disciplinary team and will work under the direction of a licensed Engineer and designated project leadership. Projects may include new construction and renovation in educational, healthcare, corporate commercial and science and technology. HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL DO
Perform designs of piping and equipment selection for plumbing and fire protection systems for building design; independently for smaller/less technical projects; requiring supervision of senior engineer for complex projects.
Prepare calculations using correct parameters with supervisory review
Prepare production drawings of plumbing and fire protection systems from schematic to construction design phases.
Edit specifications relating to existing or new projects.
Specify plumbing and fire protection equipment such as sprinkler, sewerage and medical gas systems.
Review shop drawings for compliance of specifications and contract documents.
Interface effectively with clients and members of the project team by attending Owner, Architect, Construction Administration (OAC) meetings in conjunction with project budget.
May independently research as need arises and respond to emergent issues.
Participate or lead value engineering sessions with Architectural/Engineering team.
Conduct staff development activities, including mentoring /training presentations.
May direct activities of staff with less experience.
Conduct field site visits during construction phase. Site visits frequently require a physical walk through of site and may be done independently.
Must be willing to perform overtime work and travel.
May perform other duties as required.
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Bachelor or Master's degree in Engineering required. Bachelor or Master's degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited program preferred.
Minimum of 4+ years of related experience required.
Current CPD, PE in Mechanical or FPE in the United States preferred.
LEED accreditation preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Able to effectively handle multiple projects.
Experience in computer applications for engineering design programs (i.e. Revit) required.
The salary range for this position to be filled in the Buffalo, NY office is $67,346 to $79,230 annually. This salary range is the range we believe is the anticipated range of possible base compensation at the timing of the posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the anticipated salary range for the position. Employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
