**Summary**
This is an entry-level position which will be in a union workforce. What You'll Be Doing:
Show dedication to safety and quality protocols.
Prepare raw materials for production which includes unwrapping or breaking materials apart.
Move product to and from production line by hand and occasionally use non-motorized equipment, such as a hand pallet jack.
Load and unload product from various areas throughout the production line, including placing pans onto racks and moving into the freezer. You will also be responsible for sorting finished products, ensuring they meet our high-quality standards.
Assist in the packaging process which includes dumping products into hoppers, filling boxes with finished packaged bags, and placing the completed boxes onto pallets for shipment.

Must be at least 18 years old.

What You'll Be Doing:
Show dedication to safety and quality protocols.
Prepare raw materials for production which includes unwrapping or breaking materials apart.
Move product to and from production line by hand and occasionally use non-motorized equipment, such as a hand pallet jack.
Load and unload product from various areas throughout the production line, including placing pans onto racks and moving into the freezer. You will also be responsible for sorting finished products, ensuring they meet our high-quality standards.
Assist in the packaging process which includes dumping products into hoppers, filling boxes with finished packaged bags, and placing the completed boxes onto pallets for shipment.

Position Summary:
The ManufacturingAssociate will actively contribute to the manufacturing projects at the Bionova Scientific West Warren site. As part of the Cell Culture/Manufacturing group, you will have opportunities to work on wide-ranging set of projects for troubleshooting and investigations, system and workflow implementation, and tech transfers of processes into a GMP mulit-product manufacturing facility. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Executes with oversight of qualified staff complex unit operations including but not limited to media prep; cell culture thaw, expansion, and end of production banking; operation of single-use bioreactors, process monitoring and harvest operations.
Performs internal support activities such as maintenance of analytical equipment, stocking of consumables, discarding expired reagents, material coordination and weigh and dispense.
Maintains own training within compliance and trains other GMP associates upon completion of trainer qualification.
Support in equipment troubleshooting, pilot scale material generation, non-GMP tox material generation and GMP upstream manufacturing activities.
Author/review/approve technical documents such as tech transfer protocols and reports, experimental plans, production batch records, training materials, manufacturing SOPs, and regulatory filing documents per project needs.
Documents work according to cGMP and cGDP.
Adheres to established regulations and follows cGMP established by site.
Maintain cleanroom standards, practices, and housekeeping according to SOPs.

Overview of this Position:
The Aseptic ManufacturingAssociate (AMA) is responsible for performing various routine manufacturing tasks following established procedures and cGMP regulations under guidance of a production supervisor and/or senior management.

Non-Negotiable Requirements:

Qualification for use of a full-face respirator is required when working with hazardous chemicals. PAPR is required for working with hazardous chemicals during chemical dispense and addition activities.
Preferred Requirements:
Previous experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or a laboratory environment is preferred.
Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

Setup and Operations - Set-up and operate production equipment including CNC lathes, honers, and bore grinders.

Quality through Process Control - Use process control techniques such as SPC, Histograms, Pareto analysis, etc. to understand and make adjustments to the manufacturing process. Emphasis placed on recognition, diagnosis and correction of out-of-control conditions. Will make quality checks to include concentricity, roundness, barreling, and eccentricity. Tolerancing up to and including .0000050. Problem solve to achieve above tolerancing and quality.
Zone Control - sound ANDON to signal abnormal condition or problem. Problem solve to correct issue.
Maintenance - Monitor, clean, and inspect equipment to prevent problems before they occur, tied with routine maintenance of equipment and troubleshooting problems of minor to moderate complexity. Perform operator level Preventive Maintenance.
Material Handling - Move work in process to adjacent operations. Complete affiliated administrative flow requirements as needed.
Customer Focus - Achieve a clear understanding of the customer's (internal and external) technical requirements for each order. Responsible for assuring conformance to these requirements.
Team Participation - Collaborate with a variety of plant teams focused on continuous improvement. Occasionally serve as facilitator of such teams. Regularly rotate to other machines and assist team members in meeting Team Metrics.
Training - Continuously develop and upgrade training materials used to train other technicians, and occasionally assist in training.
Safety - Requires daily participation and involvement in individual and team safety responsibilities such as Behavior Based Safety, daily housekeeping, proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and adherence to all safety requirements and policies.
Continuous Improvement - Generate and implement ideas for quality improvements and cost savings.
Basic Requirements:
Proven experience as a Machine Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
Technical skills in machine operation and troubleshooting.
