Health Guide
EZ Health
Remote river job
Health Guide, EZ Health
Join a small, fast-growing startup making a real difference in the lives of underserved seniors. EZ Health helps older adults navigate the complex healthcare system so they can get healthier and live better.
We're looking for compassionate, scrappy problem solvers and great coaches to join our team as Health Guides.
This is a remote, mission-driven role where your coaching skills, organization, and empathy will directly improve people's lives.
Why this role is unique
You'll work directly with the founders, experienced entrepreneurs who previously scaled a healthcare business to over $3.4B in value. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a startup from the ground up, with significant room to learn, grow, and make an impact as we expand.
What you'll do
In this role, you'll work with a group of clients over the phones. We're looking for people who can
Understand clients: listen deeply and build trust with older adults who feel lost in the healthcare system.
Educate and empower: help clients understand their Medicare benefits, care options, and community resources.
Solve problems: help seniors access affordable meals and transportation, find specialists, or understand options to stay independent. When formal support isn't available, we get creative: we find volunteers on Facebook Marketplace, we reach out to churches and nonprofits, etc. However we can help, we find a way.
Collaborate: work with doctors, insurers, and social services to make sure every client gets the support they need.
Who are you
As a Health Guide, you'll listen deeply, asking thoughtful questions, motivating others, and celebrating progress - but now, you'll help seniors overcome barriers to care and live healthier, more independent lives.
You're empathetic, mission-driven, and skilled at empowering others to make lasting change. You know how to meet people where they are, build trust, and guide them toward achievable goals.
We also believe that great guides bring a fresh, human approach to healthcare. At EZ Health, we aim to act and sound different from the traditional healthcare experience - focusing on direct, compassionate communication without the jargon or red tape. You already understand how to connect with people around their health goals; we'll teach you the systems, tools, and resources to help you make an even bigger impact.
You might be a great fit if you:
Are warm, empathetic, and great at explaining complex topics in simple terms
Enjoy connecting with seniors and helping them feel understood
Are organized and comfortable managing multiple priorities
Have strong written and verbal communication skills
Are tech-savvy (comfortable using Google Docs, Sheets, and basic online tools)
Thrive in fast-paced, ever-evolving environments
Love solving problems and learning on the go
💬 Note: This role involves speaking with clients over the phone for part of the day. If your background is a match, we may ask for a brief audio sample as part of your application.
Preferred Experience
Experience as a health coach, life coach, care navigator, counselor, wellness advisor, or other client-facing healthcare professional.
Bachelor's degree
Some familiarity or interest in learning about Medicare, Medicaid, or senior services (we'll train you!)
Details
Work location: 100% Remote
Job type: Contract (20-40 hours per week)
Schedule: Daytime hours, no weekends
Benefits: Flexible schedule, professional development support
We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and life experiences. At EZ Health, we believe diverse perspectives make our team stronger and help us better serve the communities we support.
❤️ A new way to make an impact
If you've ever wished your skills could make an even big difference and impact, this is your chance. At EZ Health, you'll still change lives every day.
