    The (part-time) Recovery Guide partners with patients with severe and persistent mental illness in their wellness journey. This person functions as a peer support to patients and provides targeted resources needed to be more vocationally successful. The Recovery Guide is a person who has a unique perspective of serious mental illness because of his/her own experience with the recovery processes of psychiatric disorders. This experience enables an understanding of patient struggles and provides them with unique sensitivity to patient issues. Key Responsibilities: Use lived experience to offer emotional, social, and practical support to individuals facing similar challenges, fostering a sense of hope, empowerment, and motivation for recovery. Serve as a role model by sharing personal experiences and demonstrating strategies for overcoming challenges and promoting recovery-oriented behaviors. Assist individuals in accessing appropriate services and community resources, such as mental health and substance use treatment, employment and healthcare. Lead or co-facilitate support groups or educational sessions. Advocate for patients' needs with other service providers, ensuring they have access to the services and support required for their recovery. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient interactions, progress, and outcomes in accordance with agency guidelines and expectations. Offer support in crisis situations by providing de-escalation techniques, offering resources, and ensuring the individual's safety. Work closely with mental health professionals, social workers, case managers, and other team members to provide integrated care for patients. Qualifications Peer Recovery Support certification required (PRS). Valid Ohio driver's license. Will transport patients in own vehicle. Must have proof of current auto insurance coverage and meet driving record requirements. As a healthcare provider, Southeast Healthcare is a non-smoking employer.     Snooze Guide (Part- Time) Toledo Zoo & Aquarium The Toledo Zoo & Aquarium has been educating, inspiring, and providing enjoyment to our community for over 100 years. Our Education department is currently seeking a part-time Snooze Guide who is passionate about learning new things and giving our guests the best possible experience. This role is responsible for the operation of our Snooze overnight program, including setting up facilities, greeting and escorting groups of children and chaperones. Other tasks include handling small animals while presenting animal demonstrations, maintaining safety of visitors while fostering communication to all parties and delivering the education department content with positive guidance and leadership. This position reports to the Overnight and Scout Program Coordinator and is non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act. Minimum Training & Experience Must be 18+ years of age or older. College experience up to sophomore year preferred Experience leading children in informal science education. Must be available to work scheduled weekends and evenings, and willing to sleep over night at the Toledo Zoo. Background and experience in animal sciences, education, environmental or natural sciences a plus. First Aid/CPR certification preferred. Pre-employment screening and background check are required.
