River Valley Community College (RVCC) in Claremont, New Hampshire, is a full service two-year college. Academics encompass associate's degrees, vocational certificates, professional development courses and online study. RVCC offers more than 35 degrees and professional programs of study. Students may earn an AA in such fields as: * Creative Writing * General Studies * Teacher Education RVCC also awards associate's degrees in medical and other science fields. Professional associate's degrees include: * Business Management * Criminal Justice * Nursing * Occupational Therapy Assisting * Respiratory Therapy Those who would like to get certified for a new career in a year or less may enroll in one of RVCC's certificate programs. RVCC awards certificates in such professional areas as: * Massage Therapy * Medical Assisting * Phlebotomy * Website Design Other educational options available at RVCC include professional development classes for healthcare professionals. The Continuing Education division also has an online professional school that prepares people for careers in technology, media and other fields. RVCC's campus life offerings include job fairs, theatre events and student services like tutoring and transfer advising. Admissions require that students fill out an application, submit transcripts and take the Accuplacer exam. The school also strongly recommends that applicants interview with an admissions representative. There may be additional requirements for certain healthcare degrees. RVCC offers comprehensive financial aid to eligible students. Aid awards include federal grants and loans, state grants and veteran's benefits. Most types of financial aid require a FAFSA application.
