Job Description The Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager provides strategic leadership in ensuring a safe, healthy, and compliant workplace environment. This position involves overseeing, implementing, and improving safety and environmental programs to align with government regulations, industry standards, and organizational goals. The EHS Manager is responsible for evaluating workplace environments, equipment, and processes to identify potential risks and ensuring proactive measures are in place to mitigate hazards. Additionally, the EHS Manager leads compliance audits, develops safety training programs, and fosters a culture of safety and sustainability across all levels of the organization. Investigating accidents, incidents, and near-misses, identifying root causes, and recommending corrective actions. *Managing environmental compliance programs, including hazardous waste disposal, air emissions, and water quality standards. *Reporting on EHS performance metrics to senior leadership and recommending continuous improvement initiatives. * Oversee and maintain Workmen's Compensation cases/records. Communicate with insurance and medical personnel to minimize restricted and lost time cases. Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in occupational health, safety, or a related scientific field or equivalent to 7 years experience * 3+ years experience on health and safety implementation preferably in automotive industry. *Some environmental compliance experience is desired. Strong analytical, problem solving, communication, and interpersonal skills *Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Project, Power Point, Word) *Strong presentation skills.

The Role: • Support day-to-day EHS operations. • This role is overseeing all AZ Operations EHS manufacturing activities within Stamping, BIW, Paint, General Assembly, Powertrain, and extended Lucid locations. • Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of EHS Management System elements pertaining to all manufacturing operations teams. • Support on-floor activities daily by attending tier meetings, resolving issues presented by team members, and coaching the floor with the EHS employee engagement process. • Develop and maintain strong communication between all organizations within manufacturing operations. • Participate in and lead Job Hazard identification and establish Operational controls for new and evolving processes. • Ensure compliance with Local, State and Federal environmental, health and safety regulations. • Lead incident analysis activities to determine RCCA identification. • Design safe work spaces and create, implement, and measure policies for employees to follow that minimize job-related hazards. • Manage high visibility projects as a key liaison between Lucid Motors and third-party organizations' driving results to meet aggressive timelines. • Drive employee engagement programs as a foundation to EHS integration in the workplace. • Provide support and liaison within the EHS team. • Develop and conduct education and training as required across manufacturing operations. • Represent EHS in varying multi-functional routine and non-routine engagements. • Design and conduct workplace inspection, auditing and assurance practices and drive the corrective and preventative action management process providing key performance indicators. Qualifications: • Minimum BS/BA degree, Master's degree preferred in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, Business, or related EHS field. • Ability to directly and effectively oversee EHS employee efforts on many projects across several locations. • Minimum 5+ years relevant experience in manufacturing related industries (automotive, coatings, chemical, semiconductor, solar, battery, etc.). • Fundamental understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain, and fundamental business practices. • Knowledge of and experience with Local, State and Federal regulatory agencies and requirements, preferably in Arizona. • Practical, hands-on experience with EHS Management Systems, providing education/training, Risk assessment, Incident Investigation, etc. • Ability to influence and communicate effectively with manufacturing team members and other key stakeholders. • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written in English. • Ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure while managing competing priorities in a rapid growth environment. • Well organized and highly detail oriented. • Demonstrated knowledge of ISO14001 and ISO45001 (OHSAS 18001) management systems and implementation. • Manufacturing is a 24/7 operation; must be available to support occasional evenings and weekends as needed. Performs PPE analysis, makes recommendations and orders PPE and safety supplies. Tracks injuries, reviews, and makes recommendations for safety improvements. Develops and implements site level training for all personnel to assure understanding and compliance of HSE/EHS programs and environmental permit conditions. Manages SDS data. Recommends and implements new sustainability processes while working closely with regulatory and corporate compliance. Overseeing of all environmental, health, safety and worker's compensation (where applicable) functions necessary to support the organization. Manages any assigned staff, chairs safety teams, executes strategic planning in line with the company strategic plan and goals of the corporation. The EH&S Manager provides leadership for all aspects of environmental, health & safety, including ownership of training, inspections, recordkeeping and reporting.Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assure both plant and personnel physical security programs are effective. Ensure compliance is maintained with all regulatory requirements, permits, and registrations are in place & current. Anticipate, identify, and evaluate hazardous conditions and practices including hazardous communication. Influence a philosophy of strategic safety training and actively interact with all employees to promote safety and safe acts. Lead Safety Committee and Emergency management response coordination. Partner with internal teams to develop comprehensive and clear EH&S compliant training, auditing and operations as a result of recurring audits. Lead immediate intervention and investigation of all facility incidents to provide tactical response and crisis management as a part of the Accident Investigation Program. Develop and manage training program curriculums to direct company behavior including; lock out/tag out, hazardous waste, emergency response, hazard communication, spill response, Pollution Incident Prevention Plan, hearing conservation, respiratory protection, and related. Demonstrate leadership and responsiveness in deploying practical and cost-effective solutions for continually enhancing the quality of the workplace environment. Oversee operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment system for cab pretreat line, including discharge sampling and filing quarterly reports with the City of New Philadelphia. Establish process control for the cab pretreatment dip line, including chemical analysis by titration to confirm proper bath chemistries. Maintain all required Ohio EPA air emissions records and file quarterly and annual reports. Maintain records required for the facility's spill prevention control & countermeasures plan (SPCC) and keep the plan up to date. Make recommendations and lead projects for reducing the company's environmental footprint, reducing waste, and saving energy. Direct activities of EHS Technician to implement and sustain environmental, health, and safety initiatives to improve culture and performance within the plant. This position will adhere to the Battle Motors Environmental Health and Safety Program by following all safety rules, procedures, practices, training, and safe use of equipment; this includes use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. This individual will work in a way that stresses the importance of preventing injury, accidents, or illnesses to themselves or co-workers by correcting or reporting unsafe situations, incidents, or occurrences to their Supervisor immediately.
