Role Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated SeniorManager to play an active role in establishing and optimizing financial operations and processes alongside a clear target operating model across the organization, and lead key initiatives in finance and cross‑functionally. This role is ideal for a hands‑on, execution‑focused manager with a strong background in finance, process and project management, preferably in management consulting, willing to contribute and thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment.
You will work closely with Finance leadership, the Finance team, and cross‑functional partners in RVT and Rivian to drive operational excellence and prepare important business decisions.
This role reports to the Director of Finance Programs and Operations. Located in our Palo Alto, California office, this position offers a standard hybrid schedule with the expectation of being in the office three days a week.
ResponsibilitiesFinancial Operations and Processes
Evaluate existing finance and planning processes to identify pain points, inefficiencies, and opportunities for automation and AI.
Structure, document and maintain a process landscape to ensure process transparency, efficiency and clarity across the organization.
Maintain and optimize a planning calendar with the underlying timing, responsibilities and planning artifacts.
Develop clear process KPIs to track implementation and impact.
Automation & Systems
Support the implementation, ramp‑up and optimization of an ERP, FP&A planning tool and T&E system together with the IT department and related financial and business functions.
Assist in translating evolving process improvement opportunities into system requirements, partnering with IT or relevant system owners.
Evaluate and implement innovative ways to streamline or automate finance tasks.
Cross‑functional Projects and Programs
Lead cross‑functional finance projects and initiatives for process and business optimization, ensuring seamless integration.
Collaborate with stakeholders in Leadership, Finance and other departments to ensure a seamless implementation of projects.
Financial Analysis and Decision Support
Collaborate with Financial Planning and Analysis to provide data‑driven insights and recommendations to support decision‑making in important business decisions.
Qualifications
7+ years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, finance operations, or a related field in high‑growth environments; bonus point: management consulting background.
Bachelor's/Master's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.
Strong analytical mindset with experience in financial process management, data interpretation and decision‑making frameworks.
Familiarity with the application of state‑of‑the‑art ERP and financial planning tools.
Highly organized and comfortable managing ambiguity in fast‑moving environments and across hierarchy levels.
Track record in leading cross‑functional project teams and key projects.
Pay Disclosure
Salary Range/Hourly Rate for Palo Alto, California Based Applicants: $191,600 - $239,500 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).

What will your responsibilities be?

Job Description
This position manages the daily operations of the lot department, including labor scheduling, directing work assignments, vehicle logistics, placement of vehicles, vehicle movement, and vehicle transport. Additionally, manage the lot coordinators, tracking of vehicles and sale day lot flow.
Responsibilities
Manage lot operations daily to ensure efficient operations before and after sale.
Assist seniormanagement in developing and executing operational business plans, analyzing operational expenses and implementing procedures to improve efficiency.
Coordinate with Reconditioning, Vehicle Entry, and Commercial departments to schedule and prepare vehicles for sale. Effectively manage all aspects of sale day operations, ensuring all vehicles are properly staged and efficiently run through auction lanes.
Maintain positive customer relations and provide out-of-town customers with transportation to and from the auction.
Supervise and develop lot operations staff, their professional and technical knowledge by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees and by providing educational opportunities.
Provide coaching and training for: lot drivers, lane leaders, lot coordinators, lane captains, crew leaders, and administrative staff.
Counsel and discipline employees, as necessary. Plan, monitor, evaluate job performance and conduct performance appraisals.
Monitor lot damage, meet with general management regularly to review and resolve potential lot operation problems.
Work with Lot Coordinators to ensure all vehicles are located, delivered to the lot, properly numbered and parked.
Ensure all company assets used in operations are properly maintained and accounted for.
Maintain/supervise maintenance of equipment including radios, PT scanners, service trucks, wreckers, fuel trucks/equipment, jump boxes, lot vans, golf carts, and lift trucks.
Maintain staging & inventory areas and sale lanes to ensure operational efficiency.
Develop and maintain effective schedules for all drivers and lot personnel.
Visibly demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling the behaviors related to such. Work in cooperation with safety leadership in support of all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence.
Assist with timely feedback to customer inquiries
Maintain operational requirements by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing production and control standards and procedures. Ensure all established costs, quality, and delivery commitments are met.
Review work volumes, plan, and continuously monitor staffing levels to ensure efficiency, quality product, and effective customer service; review departmental performance against key performance indicators and metrics and develop and execute strategies for improvement.
Effectively leads the team at the location by setting an example in behavior, championing Cox/Manheim values, and ensuring that all employees are treated with respect.
Enforce all company policies and procedures related to employee and customer conduct.
Partner with various market-level support teams (i.e., Finance, HR, Recon, Safety, Security, Sales) to ensure effective and efficient operational processes that align with company objectives and strategies and high-quality customer service and support.
