Managers during EMS training. Job Responsibilities Vessel & Passenger Safety & Operations Assist the Captain and senior crew in all vessel readiness tasks (pre-departure safety checks, engine/jet fluid checks, ensuring safety equipment is functional, etc.). Help with passenger boarding and disembarking safely manage lines, gangways, and passenger flow. Provide safety instructions or orientation as required. Maintain knowledge of all safety gear and emergency procedures; respond appropriately in case of emergencies or incidents. Assist with routine in-voyage vessel operations: engine room/jet checks, deck maintenance, cleanliness of cabins, decks, galley, and passenger areas. Guest Service, Interpretation & Experience Support Greet and assist guests with courtesy, help them find good viewing spots (inside heated cabin or on open deck), answer basic questions or direct them to the designated on-board naturalist or ranger. Help facilitate a comfortable environment: assist with serving lunch/beverages if needed, help with logistics for meal service or refreshments (given that lunch and beverages are included on the Day Tour). Support safe and respectful wildlife and glacier viewing: monitor guest behavior, assist guests with binoculars or viewing guidance, ensure safe distances are maintained, and follow all park and vessel regulations regarding wildlife and environmental protection. Qualifications Prior experience working on passenger vessels, commercial boats, or similar marine/boating work preferred. Basic seamanship and mechanical aptitude are a plus.
