American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position requiring an active IL license and on-call participation.
Responsibilities
Work in the Interventional Radiology and Pain Management departments within a hospital setting
Day shift schedule: 5x8 hour shifts, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
On-call rotation assigned weekly, Monday through Friday from 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM, and 24-hour coverage on weekends and holidays
Occasional weekend day shifts required, as well as every other weekend coverage
Mandatory floating to Radiology, Pain Management, and other units within scope as needed
Facility is a Level 1 Trauma Center
EMR system is Cerner; prior experience preferred but not required
Staff are required to wear lead aprons during procedures
Provide nursing care for patients undergoing interventional radiology and pain management procedures
Must be willing to float to any assigned facility or department within a 50-mile radius as operationally required
Maximum of 5 days time off allowed, with no more than 2 consecutive days; no time off before, after, or on holidays, and no weekend time off approved
Strict adherence to compliance requirements, including timely completion of lab work post-offer
Scrub color is navy blue and is not provided by the facility
Team-based support model in place when nurses are floated outside their main competency area
Proof of COVID vaccination required for employment consideration
Requirements
Active IL RN license required; pending licensure not accepted
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
Current certifications needed: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS
Must live within 75 miles of the facility

American Traveler is seeking a Pediatric ICU RN with vent, trach, and G tube experience and a valid IL RN license for a unique inpatient pediatric unit.
Responsibilities
Work in a single inpatient pediatric unit with 39 beds that covers all specialties
Patient population ages range from 2 weeks to 18 years, with 50-60% technology dependent
Patient ratios are typically 1:3-4
Required to work every other weekend
Night shift position with typical hours of 19:00 to 07:00 (3x12 hour shifts)
Floating within scope to meet unit needs is required
Meditech is used for charting and experience is required
Unit cares for children with chronic illness, many with tracheostomies and chronic ventilators
No drips or surgical or transitional patients are seen on this unit
Acute care work environment with all pediatric specialties represented
First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
Scrub attire can be any color, must be neat and clean; pediatric-themed scrubs are encouraged
Free parking available on-site, but lots are shared with the public
Requested time off (RTO) must be approved and included in the contract before the start date; changes are not allowed after the contract begins
Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
Requirements
Active IL RN license in hand at the time of consideration (Compact RN licenses not accepted in IL)
Current BCLS and PALS certifications
Minimum of 2 years of pediatric nursing experience required
Prior PICU experience preferred
Experience with vents, trachs, and G tubes is required
Experience with 1:4 patient ratios required
Meditech charting experience is required

Active IL RN license in hand required for consideration
Minimum of 1 year prior experience in an urban, Level I Trauma Emergency Department
Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS
TNCC and CPI certifications preferred
Teaching hospital experience preferred
Pending licenses are not accepted
Candidates must reside at least 75 miles from the facility

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with an active IL license and BLS certification for a day shift surgery role.
Responsibilities
Hospital setting in the Surgery/Operating Room department
Day shift schedule from 07:00 to 15:30, Monday through Friday
Rotating on-call duties required, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays
13-week contract assignment
Will participate in surgical nursing care and OR procedures as part of a multidisciplinary team
On-call includes rotating coverage for nights, weekends, and holidays
Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
Requirements
Active Illinois RN license required
Minimum of 1 year recent Operating Room RN experience
Current BLS certification from American Heart Association or Red Cross
Workplace Violence Prevention training (can be completed online as required)
