American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU position in a high-acuity, Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center requiring 2 years of recent PICU experience and current NC or compact RN license.
Responsibilities
Position is in a Pediatric ICU with 24 beds and an average census of 21-23 patients
Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center and teaching hospital setting
Care for a diverse pediatric population including respiratory, trauma, DKA, seizures, neurosurgical, renal failure, transplants, and complex medical cases
Typical RN ratios vary from 1:1 to 1:2 based on patient acuity
Utilizes EPIC EMR system; experience required
Uses a range of equipment including Artic Sun, EVDs, Camino devices, Belmont Rapid Infuser, Accuvein, PIV Ultrasound, Alaris, and Medfusion pumps
Shifts are 0645-1915 with every other weekend and alternate major holidays required
Floating required within the facility to Pediatric CVICU, NICU, Neonatal PCU, and General Peds as needed
No on-call responsibilities
Orientation includes NEO and 2 days of departmental training
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including a unit secretary, health care tech, charge nurse, phlebotomy, IV/VAT team, resource nurse, respiratory therapy, intensivist, residents, and APPs
Unit emphasizes teamwork, trust, accountability, respect, and a compassionate work ethic
Free parking provided
Scrub color requirement is navy
First-time travelers are accepted
Requested time off subject to manager approval
Work schedule is arranged in 6-week cycles
Departmental support staff available 24/7

Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN for a Level 3 trauma center, requiring a NC or compact RN license and strong general surgery skills.
Responsibilities
Work in the Operating Room of a hospital environment with 19 OR suites, including 17 blocked rooms
Level 3 Trauma, Stroke Center of Excellence, and Bariatric Center of Excellence
Surgical specialties include trauma, ortho trauma, total joints, spine, vascular, cardiology, GYN, robotics, general, bariatrics, urology, ENT, ophthalmology, pain, and plastics cases
Average of 50 surgical cases per day
Uses typical OR equipment with support from Service Line Clinical Supervisors, Charge Nurses, Educators, ORAs, Unit Secretaries, and Tech Engineers
12-hour day shift from 0700-1900; manager is open to alternate shift patterns
Every other weekend rotation required
On-call average of 6 shifts per 6-week schedule with a 45-minute response time, including 11p-7a or 7a-7p/7p-7a weekend shifts
Travelers will work 75% of holidays
No floating required
Radius rule: permanent address must be 50 miles from the unit
Main duties include circulating and scrubbing for advanced, trauma, and specialty surgery cases
Orientation includes facility onboarding and 2 days of department-specific training
Scrubs are provided by the facility
Free parking available on site
Supportive OR culture and team structure
Must be able to respond to on-call shifts within 45 minutes
Holiday coverage is required for 75% of holidays during contract
Requirements
Active NC or compact RN license required
Current BLS certification required
Minimum 5 years of recent Operating Room nursing experience (flexible, but not less than 12 months in specialty)
Strong experience in general and geriatric surgical cases required
First-time travelers will not be considered
CNOR certification preferred but not required
