Responsibilities Work in the Cardiac Cath Lab Pre/Post Recovery unit of an acute care hospital Patient population includes those recovering from left/right heart caths, complex PCI, electrophysiology, interventional radiology, and peripheral vascular procedures Unit consists of 16 beds and 6-7 recovery lounge chairs, averaging 30 cases per day Uses Epic EMR and Pyxis medication system Shift options include 8 or 10 hour evening shifts (typical shift times: 1pm-9:30pm, 11am-9:30pm, 9am-5:30pm, 6am-6pm, 7am-7pm); schedules discussed during the interview On-call required 4-7 days per month by sign-up, with a 60-minute response time preferred within 30 minutes; specific call shifts for weekdays and weekends Holiday coverage is on-call only Floating to other units only in emergency response situations Perform patient admission, preparation, and recovery care for a variety of cardiac and vascular procedures Multidisciplinary support available including 24/7 cardiologist, pharmacy, respiratory therapy, and SWAT IV team Scrub attire provided by the hospital Unit is part of a newly expanded, modern campus with a collaborative and supportive team environment Orientation consists of less than one week if competent in required skills Requirements Active WA or Compact RN license at the time of consideration Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a cardiac cath lab or comparable acute care setting Current certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS, and NIHSS Experience with Epic EMR and Pyxis preferred Two professional references required: one supervisor reference from the past 12 months and one from a peer or supervisor in the past 3 years Copy of driver's license required for consideration Must not have been employed by CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity directly in the past year Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID #P.
