American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position in Washington, DC, requiring a DC RN license, BLS, ACLS, NRP, and intermediate electronic fetal monitoring certification.
Responsibilities
Position is in a hospital-based Labor and Delivery unit
Primary patient population includes women from 17 weeks gestation, laboring, with scheduled procedures such as C-sections and external cephalic versions
Unit activities include admissions, discharges, transfers, pre-op, triage, and deliveries (both vaginal and C-section)
Common equipment includes fetal monitors and Fetalink documentation
Uses Cerner EMR and Fetalink for documentation; experience with Cerner is required
Schedule consists of four 12-hour night shifts per week, totaling 48 hours
Candidates must reside at least 25 miles from the facility
Responsible for delivering care to laboring patients, managing scheduled obstetric procedures, and responding to obstetric emergencies
May be assigned pre-op and triage duties in addition to labor and delivery responsibilities
Documentation is performed using Cerner and Fetalink systems
Candidate must provide references from at least one recent supervisor and one other manager or supervisor from the past twelve months

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Main PACU position requiring ICU experience and a DC RN license.
Responsibilities
Work in the Main PACU of a hospital setting
Care for post-operative patients in a Level I trauma center environment
Requires ICU-level care experience; PACU experience preferred, Preop experience a plus
3x12 hour day shifts with various start times between 0700 and 1130
On-call is required
Monitor post-operative patients' recovery and consciousness from anesthesia
Obtain and document patient vital signs and observe for anesthesia side effects
Treat pain, nausea, and other post-op symptoms, administering medications as prescribed
Update EMR, patient files, and medical records accurately
Educate patients and families on post-surgery care and answer their questions
No local candidates within 25 miles of the facility will be accepted
First-time travelers are accepted
Requirements
Active DC RN license in hand
Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience in a U.S. hospital required
Recent PACU and Preop experience required; not surgicenter experience
Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program
Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA only)

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position requiring a DC RN license and expertise in a Level 1 trauma setting.
Responsibilities
Position is in a hospital Cardiac Cath Lab environment
Four 10-hour shifts per week required
On-call required 1-2 weekdays per week with a 30-minute response time
Level 1 trauma procedures including emergency and elective angioplasty, drug-eluding stents, electrophysiology, and pacemaker implantation
Primary duties include performing advanced cardiac interventions and supporting patient care during a variety of procedures
Must be able to respond on-site within 30 minutes while on call
Must provide two manager or supervisor references from the past twelve months, with at least one from the most recent employer
COVID and Flu vaccination required
A U.S. Social Security Number is required for consideration
No local candidates within a 25-mile radius are eligible for this travel position
Requirements
