Major Duties and Responsibilities: Replaces faulty switches, and other elements of electrical and mechanical systems. Dismantles electrical machinery and replaces defective electrical or mechanical parts such as gears, brushes, and armatures Troubleshoots, programs, and maintains PLCs Inspects and tests electrical equipment, lighting, signal, communication, and power circuits. The Field Service Technician will be responsible for providing our on-site technical customer service. Conditions range from clean work to exposure to odors, fumes, drafts, wet conditions, dirt, grease, smoke, dust, noise, high temperatures and low frigid temperatures. These conditions range from severe to mild and can happen daily and in any combination. An Electromechanical Technician works in disagreeable weather conditions nearly 30% of the year. Employee must stand and walk, as well as handle parts, tools and equipment, gripping and grasping, on a frequent to constant basis. On an occasional to frequent basis, operator is required to lift/carry parts. Most weight moved is less than 30 lb. Conduct equipment inspections with thorough documentation of findings Partner with Regional Sales Managers to identify service opportunities and support aftermarket sales initiatives including training, OEM parts, equipment upgrades, and service agreements with customers Work flexible hours to support customer service needs Build & maintain strong customer relationships through effective communication & reliable service delivery Collaborate with technical support teams to resolve complex problems Document in English, service activities, findings, and recommended actions in detailed service reports in an accurate and professional manner Maintain company tools, service equipment, and service vehicles in good working conditions Job Qualifications - Education, Training & Experience Associate degree or technical certification in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering preferred or equivalent military or industry experience 3+ years of field service experience with mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems Prior experience with metal stamping presses and coil line equipment strongly preferred Familiarity with Allen-Bradley or Siemens PLCs, servo systems, and HMI interfaces is a plus Job Qualifications - Technical & Soft Skills Strong mechanical, electrical, lubrication, hydraulic & pneumatic troubleshooting skills Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals Proficiency with hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and precision measuring instruments Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong customer service orientation with a professional demeanor Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in the field Job Qualifications - Other Valid driver's license and willingness to travel in region ~75% and outside of region ~25% Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work in industrial environments Benefits Competitive salary with guaranteed 45 hours/week, additional overtime is common Company provided service vehicle, specialty tools, uniform, cell phone, and laptop $75 daily per diem for domestic travel and $95 daily per diem for international travel; paid weekly Ability to keep accumulated travel points for personal use Excellent benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) with Company match - available first day of employment 20 days of paid time off immediately upon hire
