This role requires advanced diagnostic skills, strong attention to safety, and active participation in continuous improvement initiatives to maximize equipment reliability and minimize production downtime. **Key Responsibilities** + Troubleshoot, install, and repair all aspects of automation and CNC machinery. + Support equipment involving PLC programming, minor program edits, HMI programming, servo controllers, and industrial communication systems. + Plan and install primary and secondary controls, diagnose electrical/electronic failures, and repair or replace components as required. + Identify and replace defective control modules; test and validate equipment functionality. + Update and prepare wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, and documentation to reflect changes. + Perform mechanical repairs as needed. (All technicians, regardless of pay grade, participate in mechanical work where required.) + Support daily **continuous improvement** (CIP/Kaizen) initiatives. + Record completed and in-progress work within the SAP work order system. + Follow all company safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), electrical safety, and arc flash protocols. + Perform any additional duties needed to support production and equipment uptime. **Qualifications** + Minimum **4 years of experience** in a manufacturing environment working with automation, CNC controls, robotics, PLCs, PCs, and HMIs. + Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical prints, schematics, and OEM equipment documentation. + Strong understanding of industrial communication systems (Ethernet/IP, Profinet, DeviceNet, serial protocols) and communication cable/LAN components. + Fully competent working safely inside electrical control panels at various voltage levels. + Qualified to work on 3-phase systems up to **480V** , following all PPE and safety procedures. + Strong computer skills, problem-solving ability, and mechanical aptitude. + Effective communication, teamwork, and customer service attitude. + Experience with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) programs. + Experience with Arc Flash Safety requirements (NFPA 70E). + **Electrician license** (state or journeyman)- _preferred_ . **Additional Information** Equal Opportunity Employer, including disability / veterans.
