Key Responsibilities: Perform client bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank and credit card reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance. Complete client write-up work: post and process transactions, journal entries, and adjusting entries. Prepare financial statements and client reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Assist with month-end and year-end close processes for clients. Communicate with clients regarding their financial data, questions, and deliverables. Work directly with the firm's CPAs and staff to support ongoing client engagements. Maintain confidential records and ensure data integrity. Work Schedule: Part-time, 20-25 hours per week; flexible scheduling available. Fully remote. Requirements 3+ years of relevant bookkeeping experience in a CPA firm or similar professional environment. Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms. Responsibilities: - Process incoming payments and apply them accurately to customer accounts to ensure timely posting. - Retrieve payment details, invoices, and remittance advice from customer portals for efficient processing. - Reconcile customer accounts to identify and resolve discrepancies, maintaining accurate account balances. - Investigate and resolve issues related to payment discrepancies and unapplied amounts. - Utilize SAP/Oracle/JDE ERP systems to manage and update accounts receivable data effectively. - Analyze accounts receivable metrics using advanced Excel functions such as pivot tables and formulas. - Collaborate with internal teams, including Sales, Billing, and Customer Service, to address account-related inquiries. - Maintain clear communication with customers to resolve account discrepancies and provide payment updates. - Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in all accounts receivable tasks.
