Job Title: Accountant Compensation: Base Salary of $85K-$94K + 10% Target Bonus My client is searching for an Accountant to join their collaborative and innovative team. In this role, you'll use your expertise to manage accounting processes, oversee transactional data, maintain trial balances, and ensure the accuracy of fixed assets, intangible assets, and project registers. This position will also involve stewardship procedures and support for internal and external audits. You'll contribute to the continuous improvement of systems and processes while partnering with project managers and business leaders to ensure financial governance and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
As an Accountant, your responsibilities will include:
+ Managing daily financial transactions and month-end accounting processes.
+ Preparing balance sheet analyses and reconciliations.
+ Maintaining fixed assets, intangible assets, and project accounting data, including capitalization, disposals, depreciation, and amortization.
+ Ensuring compliance with key financial controls and adhering to close and control deadlines.
+ Enhancing and automating existing processes for greater efficiency.
+ Preparing general journals for project transactions (e.g., accruals, supplier payments, intercompany transactions).
+ Raising and monitoring external invoices for other revenue streams and resolving payment issues with business representatives.
+ Preparing intercompany fee calculations and associated invoices, as well as coordinating intercompany settlements.
+ Preparing cash flow statements (both direct and indirect) and statements of changes in equity for entities as required.
+ Reviewing and recording debt payments, interest accruals, and debt-related fees.
+ Supporting internal and external audits, including information gathering and issue resolution.
+ Partnering with project managers and business owners to ensure proper financial treatment and governance for their projects.

Summary
The Staff Accountant is a key member of a group of talented Accounting and Tax professionals. This position supports daily accounting operations, including the analysis and reconciliation of general ledger accounts, review of financial statements, and various firm-wide business initiatives and projects. The Staff Accountant has the opportunity to assist with various firm-wide business initiatives and projects. Job Description:
+ Prepares journal entries on a daily basis.
+ Reconciles general ledger account balances on a monthly basis to ensure completeness and accuracy.
+ Reviews and analyzes financial statements on a monthly basis. Provides commentary to senior leaders of the Accounting team.
+ Assists with the year-end financial statement audit and other audits, as required.
+ Assists with accounting operations for international entities in Mexico, Puerto Rico, South Korea, and Brazil.
+ Assist with daily treasury activities.
+ Works collaboratively with a talented group of Accounting professionals, including senior leaders of the Accounting department. Also has exposure to professionals outside of the Accounting department, including Real Estate Operations, Human Resources, Information Technology and various others.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.

This person should expect to be working on an average of 10 active projects at a time (not including projects in closeout phase). Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 1+ year of accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP
- Experience in creating and managing journal entries is essential
- Intermediate or better Excel and ERP skills required
- Solid communication skills required, both oral and written

Fixed Asset Accountant Job At Robert Half
Description We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our team in the education industry, specifically within a University setting, located in Williamsburg, Virginia. As an Accountant, you will be handling complex bank reconciliations, utilizing various accounting software systems, and providing month-end support. This role offers a long term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- Reconcile main and subsidiary bank accounts
- Utilize Workday, Banner, and advanced Excel for accounting processes
- Provide support during the month-end closing process
- Use accounting software systems to handle accounting functions
- Ensure accurate and efficient processing of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Utilize Concur for expense management
- Employ ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning for organization-wide planning and management
- Conduct auditing as per regulatory standards
- Manage Balance Sheet Account for financial accuracy
- Work with ADP - Financial Services for payroll and benefits administration. Requirements - Must possess proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
- Experience with ADP - Financial Services is required
- Should have knowledge of Cl Programming
- Familiarity with Concur is essential
- Must have experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning
- Should be well-versed in various Accounting Functions
- Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) is necessary
- Must be adept at managing Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Auditing skills are required
- Should have experience in handling Balance Sheet Account
