Robert Half Management Resources is currently looking for an experienced Talent Acquisitions Manager to oversee talent acquisition and recruitment processes for a higher education client northeast of Columbus. This is an interim (contract) position, with potential for contract to hire. This role will manage a small team and handle approximately 20 active job postings at any given time. Job postings will be a variety of different positions, including hourly and salaried roles. The role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and hands-on experience with Workday systems. This role is based 100% onsite at the client's location northeast of Columbus, OH.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the talent acquisition process, including sourcing, interviewing, and selecting candidates for approximately 20 open positions.
- Oversee and mentor a team of two HR professionals, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Utilize Workday HRIS and HCM systems to manage recruitment workflows and ensure accurate data tracking.
- Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract top talent and meet organizational hiring goals.
- Collaborate with department heads to understand staffing needs and align hiring efforts accordingly.
- Ensure compliance with all employment laws and regulations throughout the recruitment process.
- Maintain organized records of hiring activities and provide regular updates to leadership.
- Identify opportunities to improve recruitment processes and implement best practices.
- Act as a point of contact for candidates, fostering a positive candidate experience from application to onboarding.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in talent acquisition and recruitment.
- Proven expertise in managing recruitment processes using Workday HRIS and HCM systems.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing and mentoring team members.
- Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail in handling multiple job postings and deadlines.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with stakeholders and candidates.

The Talent Acquisition Manager is responsible for full life cycle recruitment of top tier talent in the legal and professional fields for Jackson Lewis. This individual will partner with internal stakeholders to define strategic objectives around hiring needs and identify solutions with a high sense of urgency. Must be able to effectively strategize around hiring needs, determine best recruiting methods, and then efficiently execute recruiting strategies. Build and maintain a comprehensive candidate pipeline that addresses current and future needs. Serves as subject matter expert on market trends, target industries, and roles.
Essential Functions
Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process ensuring attraction, engagement and hiring of top tier legal and professional talent.
Proven experience collaborating and influencing internal stakeholders, including hiring managers, HR Business Partners and Compensation team members a to develop accurate job descriptions and define recruitment strategies to meet hiring needs.
Partner with hiring managers and firm leadership to deliver tailored recruitment strategies; understands position requirements, researches market, sources candidates, screens resumes, interviews candidates, places ads, presents qualified candidates to the hiring team, schedules interviews, maintains applicant tracking system and manages the recruitment process keeping hiring team and candidates apprised of the status.
Builds and maintains relationships with both passive and active candidates and ensures a qualified pipeline of candidates.
Establishes and maintains a presence in the legal industry to stay abreast of industry trends, recruiting best practices, target industries, competitors, and roles.
Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process
Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
Strong written and oral skills to draft nuanced communications regarding lateral partner lateral recruiting
Qualifications/Skills Required
Minimum of 5 years relevant talent acquisition experience, identifying candidates to meet business needs in a fast-paced environment.
Minimum of 3 years relevant lateral partner recruitment preferred.
Legal industry knowledge is strongly preferred.
Established experience and relationships in legal industry preferred
Strong interpersonal skills, leader, and good collaborator.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
High sense of urgency that proactively moves the hiring process to completion.
Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines; strong organizational skills
