Robertshaw is looking for an experienced Key Account Manager to manage and grow our commercial and appliance customer accounts. This person will be responsible for providing OEM customers with relevant, value-added product solutions, driving growth of the business and contributing to future strategic planning and profitability objectives. Viewed as an expert in the field, this person is responsible for large, complex, high visibility, strategic, or tactically important OEM accounts. The position will be based in the Mid-West region.
The position is for a confident individual contributor, self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to deliver results. This person will need to be able to develop new accounts as well as grow and expand Robertshaw's portfolio with exiting accounts.
Key Responsibilities
Demonstrate an outstanding ability to develop new relationships and manage and improve relationships with existing accounts, identify areas to improve customer satisfaction
Grow Robertshaw's profitable sales through implementing marketing and promotional activities, and working closely with product line managers to develop competitive pricing and margin strategies
Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of competitive products and their activity in the marketplace.
Implement strategies to recognize new revenue and margin opportunities.
Manage all on-going customer, commercial, and communication issues
Formulate and develop comprehensive business plan for each account to address sales growth activities, technology, market information, competitive information and pricing strategies
Partner with internal cross-functional teams to communicate customer goals and key performance metrics and develops plans to meet and or exceed those goals
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent time in key customer sales and business experience in HVACR segment required. Engineering degree preferred
At least 8 years of OEM account management experience, in the HVACR Commercial and Appliance industry
5+ years in a senior sales account management role
A sense of urgency, a passion for winning, and enthusiasm for translating big ideas into realistic, pragmatic executable plans

Qualifications

What you will do
Successful applicants will have a good understanding of standard technical principles, theories, concepts, techniques, and processes. Has a working knowledge of AutoCAD and Drafting standards and applies them towards the execution of Sales Orders or ECNs. Develop wiring diagrams using AutoCAD Electrical 2024 (Bentley, Plant 3D or Inventor experience a plus).
Develop 2D plan, elevation and section drawings of control panels using AutoCAD Electrical. Includes mounting components, terminal blocks, associative dimensioning and avoiding interference between equipment.
Develop and implement designs for conduit and/or cable tray installations.
Develop bills of material using MS Access database and web-based configuration tools.
Check other drawings (peer checking).
Work with Operations group personnel to answer questions, make corrections, etc.
The ability to multitask and an attention to detail are a must.

Key Responsibilities

What you will do
Under specific direction, assists in the design, configuration, and operation of building systems including security, fire, and other low voltage control sub-systems (i.e. lighting, nurse call, data networks, etc.) to meet the intent of the project requirements. Design and configure technically complex Security & Fire systems as defined by the contract documents. Create flow diagrams, sequence of operations and bill of material, network layouts and electrical schematics as required.
Develop and test software programs necessary to operate the system per the intent of the project requirements.
Use your ability to integrate different Security subsystems with each other.
Coordinate and create the necessary drawings and equipment schedules for submittals and installation.
Select, order, and track the delivery of materials for assigned projects.
Coordinate factory-mounting processes to meet factory and project schedule.
Assist in the loading and commissioning of all system and network-level controllers as required. Assist in validation of complete system functionality and troubleshoot problems with subcontractors and other trades to ensure proper operation.
Provide field change information to the project team for the creation of as-built drawings and software.
Keep management and JCI contractor or customer informed of job progress and issues. Assist in performing site-specific training for owner / operator on the total building control system.
Participate in release meeting with project field team. Perform value engineering to provide cost effective results while maintaining customer satisfaction.
Adhere to safety standards. Operate with a high degree of regard to employee and subcontractor safety.

Maintain the ECAD library, including creation of the PCB footprints, 3D models, and schematic symbols.
Work with PCB vendors to select PCB materials, finish, and layer stack-up to meet PCB cost target and design performance.
Collaborate with internal teams and PCB vendors to continually improve design rules and Design for Test (DFT) and Design for Manufacturability (DFM) guidelines.
Experience using Siemens Mentor Graphics DxDesigner and PADS tools.
