Collect specimens according to established procedures. This includes, but not limited to: drug screens, biometric screening and insurance exams.
Administer oral solutions according to established training.
Research test/client information and confirm and verify all written and electronic orders by utilizing lab technology systems or directory of services.
Responsible for completing all data entry requirements accurately including data entry of patient registration; entry of test order from requisition or pulling order from database; managing Standing Orders.
Enter billing information and collect payments when required, including the safeguarding of assets and credit card information.
Data entry and processing specimens including labeling, centrifuging, splitting, and freezing specimens as required by test order.
Perform departmental-related clerical duties when assigned such as data entry, inventory, stock supplies, and answer phones when needed.
Read, understand and comply with departmental policies, protocols and procedures: (i.e. Procedure Manuals, Safety Manual, Compliance Manual, Automobile Policies and Procedures, Employee Handbook, Quality Assurance Manual); and ensure that all staff members follow instructions.
Perform verification of patient demographic info/initials including patient signature post-venipuncture to verify tubes were labeled in their presence and that the name on the label is correct.
Assist with compilation and submission of monthly statistics and data.
Maintain all appropriate phlebotomy logs in a timely manner and based on frequency, such as maintenance logs and temperature logs.
Complete training courses and keep up-to-date with the latest phlebotomy techniques.
Travel to Territory Manager meeting if held off-site or off normal shift.
Participate on special projects and teams.
Stay up to date on company communications and assist with the distribution of technical information to the work group.
Perform Point of Care (POC) testing at those sites where needed and the complete training/competency evaluations per Standing Operating Procedure (SOP).
With appropriate training, act as mentor and resource for new employees, assisting with transition into the PSC work environment and the familiarity with established procedures.
Assist with periodic inventory counts, report shortages and problems to group leader or supervisor as they occur.
Assist with the preparation of schedules for the assigned workgroup or PSC's.
Communicate professionally with clients to resolve or refer, and document problems, prepare problem documentation and report critical issues as they occur.
Ensure staff is following all safety precautions by wearing a clean, button lab coat, gloves and face shield when required.
Assist supervisors with the implementation of SOPs for phlebotomy services in accordance with Quest Diagnostics guidelines.
Ensure facilities are neat, clean and in good repair, takes appropriate action to advise Group Leader or Supervisor of required repairs and maintenance.

Day Backhaul Route
Leave from our facility in Lincoln at 4am and drive an empty single trailer to a remote location to pick up product to deliver back to the Lincoln facility. Depending on the through-put for that facility, you may wait 30 minutes to 3 hours before your trailer is loaded and returned. This is an hourly position and you will be on the clock from the time you leave Lincoln to the time you return.
Regular Mon-Fri Route:
Work 4-5 days per week running our Monday-Friday routes and averaging 40-50 hours per week. Typical days start from 4:30am 5:30am, depending on the route you are on. End times vary depending on the size of the orders. Route drivers start the morning picking up the packed trailer and follow the delivery route given. At each stop, there will be some building of the loads to take in to the customer which requires attention to detail in reading and scanning delivery tickets, working with the customer on where to place their products, getting required signatures, and developing relationships with these repeat customers. For our longer routes we are moving towards scheduling 4 days per week which should average about 45 hours per week with occasional 5 day weeks to cover routes as needed.
Early Morning Key Account Overnight Route (Mon & Tues, Thur & Fri) (Pays $1.50/hr differential)
These routes start at 1am and average 10-12 hours per day delivering to large accounts. This is two, 2-day routes that will require an overnight stay; will be put up for the night and receive $40 per diem for each overnight stay. Will have fewer delivery stops, but be heavier loads. Route drivers start the morning picking up the loaded trailer and follow the delivery route given. At each stop, there will be some building of the loads to take in to the customer which requires attention to detail in reading and scanning delivery tickets, working with the customer on where to place their products, getting required signatures, and developing relationships with these repeat customers.
Regional OTR CDL Drivers (4-6 days out)
Kearney based no-touch CDL position that will generally be out 4-6 days, possibly 10 days. Back 1-2 days, and repeat. Runs will generally include three or more stops from the time it leaves Lincoln to the time it returns. Drivers will have a sleeper cab that is governed at 70 mpg and are paid by the mile, $.63, with an average of 2k - 3k miles per week, plus will be eligible for Detention and Layover pay. Will receive a per diem of $40 per overnight stay (taxable) and be eligible for paid time off and holiday pay at the rate of 8 hours per day using the average gross pay of the prior two pay periods.

This position typically will haul two empty trailers from Lincoln to Kearney, pick up 2 full trailers, and bring back to Lincoln two times per night, but may shuttle to other locations. Typically runs from 6pm 4am on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday; and on Sunday can start as early as 4pm.
