Job Summary:
Rochester Precision Optics (RPO) is seeking a results-driven, relationship-oriented Strategic Account Manager to accelerate sales growth across both defense and commercial markets. As a key member of our business development team, this individual will manage day-to-day customer service and transactional sales while also cultivating long-term partnerships by recognizing customer needs, uncovering growth potential within existing accounts, and coordinating internal teams to deliver lasting solutions. This role is also integral to the strategic growth of RPOs catalog business by aligning e-commerce, inside sales, and operations to expand customer reach, improve responsiveness, and strengthen RPOs overall market footprint.
You Will:
Act as the company representative for assigned customers, managing relationships, products, services, deliverables and communications.
Develop strong, long-term client relationships and strategic account plans (targets, whitespace, product adoption, pricing strategy).
Manage, resolve and communicate customer issues including delivery status, credit issues, reschedules, expedites, etc.
Collaborate across the organization (Business Development, Inside Sales, Engineering, Program Management, Operations, Supply Chain) to execute quotes and respond swiftly to customer inquiriesensuring the catalog-/standard-product workflow is efficient and accurate.
Attend production and sales meetings, conference calls with customers and BD team to report status, opportunities and risks.
Review and manage all incoming orders and acknowledgements for accuracy, specification, timing, and alignment with catalog SKUs.
Take ownership of ERP system (Epicor) and CRM (HubSpot) data for the BD teamensure data integrity, training, and reliable usage.
Manage incoming customer inquiries from the website, trade shows and direct outreach; spearhead the initial vetting and distribution of new catalog opportunities into the CRM.
Partner with e-commerce/marketing to optimize online conversion, promotions, landing pages and catalog user experience; drive cross-sell/upsell of standard product lines.
Forecast monthly/quarterly revenue, units and margin for assigned accounts; maintain pipeline hygiene and apply price-to-win logic for volume / standard orders.
Regularly conduct QBRs with strategic catalog accounts; track SLAs (lead time, on-time-delivery, RMA rate) and drive corrective actions internally.
Map and influence customer product roadmaps (e.g., transition from legacy to next-gen standard optics) to lock in catalog wins and ensure product lifecycle management.
You Have:
Education & Experience
Bachelors degree in business, marketing, or related field preferred; 7+ years of relevant experience in lieu of degree considered.
5-7 years of proven B2B sales success in a high-impact role, ideally within manufacturing or optics.
Minimum 3 years experience in project management, sales support or customer service.
Industry & Technical Knowledge:
Familiarity with manufacturing environments and ability to communicate at a technical level; optics experience is strongly preferred.
Advanced understanding of global account management principles and intermediate knowledge of business contract structure.
Sales & Account Management Skills:
Demonstrated ability to manage transactional sales while cultivating long-term strategic partnerships.
Experience supporting business development efforts and driving growth within existing accounts.
Proficient in strategic planning, data analysis, and KPI-driven performance management.
Communication & Relationship Building
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for presenting, negotiating, and cross-functional collaboration.
Proven ability to build trust-based relationships with demanding clients, partners, and internal teams.
Organizational & Problem-Solving Abilities:
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Technology Proficiency:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CRM Platforms (HubSpot)

Ability to learn quickly and understand complex product offerings and translate them into customer solutions.

Job Summary:
The Coating Operator/Inspector is responsible for inspecting and verifying the quality of optical coatings applied to precision optical components. This role ensures that all coated optics meet strict performance, durability and visual standards in accordance with customer specifications and internal quality protocols. This job requires excellent visual acuity and manual dexterity. The ability to follow detailed work instructions and the ability to pay attention to details are key to success for this position. This is an entry-level position that will include a multitude of different trainings to ensure the employee understands the nature of the work and the responsibilities that follow. Training will be on the job and will include a detailed understanding of the optical handling and cleaning processes including sonic cleaning, spectral measurement techniques and coating processes.
You will:
Inspect coated optical components for defects such as pinholes, scratches, delamination or non-uniformity using microscopes and other optical metrology tools.
Measure coating thickness, reflectance, and transmittance using optical measurement instruments.
Verify compliance with coating specifications, including environmental durability.
Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records.
Collaborate with coating technicians, engineering and coating management to identify root causes of coating defects and recommend corrective actions.
Ensure adherence to clean environment protocols and contamination control protocols.
Support continuous improvement initiatives in coating processes and inspection techniques.
You have:
High School Diploma/GED Required; Associate degree or technical certification in optics, materials science or a related field a plus!
1-3 years of experience in optical inspection or a similar precision manufacturing environment preferred.

Commissioning is a process that verifies the operation of new building infrastructure including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. We are engaged by the owner to oversee the design and construction of multimillion dollar projects. As part of the commissioning process, the employee will participate in peer reviews of the design, review submittals, conduct static inspections of the construction, test the new equipment and assist the owner with ensuring the proper training is provided. Documentation will be required for each of the processes.
Job Responsibilities
The desired candidate will possess a mechanical or electrical engineering degree or trade school degree (with 5 years of experience) in the fields of temperature controls, HVAC equipment or electrical equipment. This is an entry level position and you will be trained by experienced commissioning agents. The work will include both field and office work which will be home based. Work within the region will primarily be local to the hiring location and travel will be limited primarily to sites that can be accessed on a daily commute.
As a commissioning agent you are responsible for telling others what is wrong utilizing the design documentation to compare to the actual installation. You are not responsible for determining the remediation however as you become experienced, you will be asked for suggestions as to a remedy. You will not be alone in this endeavor as Aramark has over 25 experienced commissioning agents

Bachelor of Science in an Engineering or Technical Related Field -or- Trade School (in similar field) with 5 years experience

Hybrid Requirement:

The Optical Assembler plays a critical role in the production of high-performance optical components and assemblies used in military systems, advanced imaging and sensing equipment. You Will:
Assemble precision optical components and mechanical subassemblies using specialized tools and fixtures to meet daily production targets.
Performa fine alignment of optical elements using microscopes, interferometers and laser alignment systems.
Apply adhesives, epoxies and bonding agents with controlled volume and placement, following cure schedules and handling requirements.
Install mechanical fasteners to exact specifications to maintain optical alignment and structural integrity.
Inspect incoming and in-process optical components for defects such as scratches, digs, chips, coating issues and contamination.
Verify optical performance using test equipment such as interferometers, MTF benches, spectrophotometers and optical comparators.
Document inspection results and maintain traceability through travelers, routers, or ERP system.
Identify nonconformance's and collaborate with quality and manufacturing engineering to resolve issues.
Follow detailed work instructions, assembly drawings, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) with zero deviation.
Maintain cleanroom environment standards.
Record production data accurately, including lot numbers, serial numbers, material usage and process steps.
Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback on tooling, processes, and documentation.
You Have:
1 - 3 years of experience in optical assembly, micro-assembly, electronics assembly, or other precision manufacturing environments.
High School Diploma/GED Required.

Monitor KPIs such as yield, cycle time, and labor efficiency, and lead lean/5S initiatives to improve flow and reduce waste.
Partner with engineers, supply chain, and quality teams to improve processes and ensure materials, tools, and equipment are available.
Assist with interviewing, onboarding, and succession planning to build a strong pipeline of talent.
You Have:
5+ years in manufacturing leadership or team supervision, with a proven ability to lead people and manage priorities.
A genuine commitment to supporting others, building trust, and leading by example.
High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree in optics, engineering, manufacturing technology, or related field preferred.
Familiarity with ERP systems, scheduling, and basic production metrics.
