Duties include assisting with the inpatient consultation service for the NICU, PICU and Pediatric floor at Swedish Medical Center First Hill, the neonatal units at Swedish Issaquah & Ballard Medical Centers, and Valley Medical Center, Renton. The appointee will assist with an Outpatient Consultation service for Pediatric Infectious Disease, including providing opportunities for virtual consultation and for electronic consultations (e-consults) from colleagues in Pediatric Primary and Secondary care and Family Medicine.
In addition to clinical services, the appointee will provide consultation and advice pertaining to Infection Prevention and Antimicrobial Stewardship Services and to the Swedish Medical Microbiology Committee and will provide the Providence (/St Joseph) System with support for a range of advice and consultation services in relation to the field of Pediatric Infectious Diseases.
The applicant will be expected to contribute to Continuing Medical Education (CME) for colleagues in the Pediatric Department and to the education of Medical Residents from the Swedish Family Medicine Residency programs and Medical Students from the Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine, Washington State University.
Compensation is between $222,077 and $294,444 per year

The per-diem hospitalist PA will be utilized to cover our inpatient med-psych unit, inpatient rehab unit, and inpatient medicine services. The per-diem PA will have their own panel of patients on one of the non-teaching services providing general inpatient management care, including admissions/discharges, medication reconciliation, patient counseling, and other daily management and care.
Coverage currently includes all shifts. Priority coverage needs for day shift (7a-8p) and night shift (7p-8a).
