Job Title: Respiratory Therapist - Part time Department: NWH Respiratory Therapy Hours Per Week: 24 hours Schedule: Night 2 x12 hour shifts 7pm to 730am with rotating weekend and holiday
The Respiratory Therapist will implement and update care plans, perform cardiopulmonary evaluation, administer respiratory therapy treatment techniques, and provide education to the patient, family, other team members, students, and the public.
Each of the hospitals of Rochester Regional Health provides a full range of diagnostic, treatment and educational services to persons with disorders of the cardiopulmonary system. Special emphasis placed on pulmonary health promotion and disease prevention.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Reviews and evaluates existing data in the patient record including patient history, physical exam, current vital signs, admission and current respiratory care orders for each patient assigned.
Reviews and evaluates other pertinent data, such as blood gas and other laboratory results, hemodynamic monitoring, electrocardiogram, and radiology study reports, specific to each patient assigned.
Advises providers on appropriate respiratory care procedure and techniques for a given patient care situation.
Selects, assembles, and checks respiratory care equipment for proper function, operation, and cleanliness.
Recommends, conducts and documents prescribed therapeutic procedure of all types, including medication administration, airway care, bronchial hygiene, oxygen and aerosol therapy, ventilator support, and monitoring and diagnostic procedures.
Monitors and documents all pertinent clinical parameters and assessments on all assigned patients according to departmental policies and procedures.
Modifies treatment techniques based on patient response.
Provides and documents patient education for therapeutic procedures performed.
Initiates and updates respiratory care plan for all patients per department policy and procedure as applicable.
Works collaboratively with other members of the health care team to implement the plan of care.
Maintains ACLS certification and initiates optimum emergency resuscitation procedures.
Communicates information regarding patient's clinical status to appropriate members of health care team according to departmental policies and procedures.
Participates in the instruction and orientation of Respiratory Care team members, students, and other allied health professionals in methods of administration of respiratory care.
Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICTIONS:
Associate's degree in Respiratory Care or equivalent certificate.
New York State Respiratory Therapist (RT) license with current registration, including credentials received prior to 9/1993.
OR
New York State Respiratory Therapy Technician (RTT) license AND National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) active credentials as a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT).
ACLS certification (current) required within one year of hire.

Job Responsibilities:

Summary: Responsible for the provision of: 1) Palliative care consultations within the hospital, 2) Direct care of patients admitted to inpatient hospice in the hospital, 3) Outpatient consultation and follow-up in the outpatient clinic setting. Clinical service time for a full-time position is 184 clinical days per year total (target of 160 weekdays and 24 weekend days per year) with call responsibilities evenly distributed among the practice group. The Clinical Practice Base Site for this position will be Emory University Hospital Midtown with ≥80% inpatient assignment and up to 20% outpatient practice.
Minimum Qualification: Board certified or eligible in Hospice and Palliative Medicine.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide inpatient consultation services in palliative care
2. Serve as attending physician and medical director for patients receiving inpatient hospice
3. Facilitate clarification of patient and family goals of care.
4. Consult with the attending physician and the Interdisciplinary Team to establish a written plan of care at intervals specified in the plan.
5. Facilitate access to appropriate supportive care services.
6. Education of students, faculty, staff and coworkers.
7. Full and appropriate documentation of patient care services to support professional billing for these services.
8. Participation in on-call coverage for hospice and palliative care patients and coordination of follow-up with the interdisciplinary team.
9. Weekly participation in interdisciplinary team meetings to review active cases.

The Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences at Emory University Medical School is seeking fellowship-trained radiologists in chest or abdominal imaging for full-time or part-time remote positions to join the thriving, expanding Division of Cardiothoracic Imaging (CT).
Candidates ideally will integrate in the division focusing predominantly on chest imaging, including chest X-rays, oncologic chest CT studies, lung cancer screening studies. Interstitial lung disease cases are also available to candidates who have interest. Candidates may choose to focus predominantly on thoracic imaging or have a mixed practice with abdominal or multispecialty imaging.
Our department is in a growth phase currently providing on-site and remote interpretive services for 8 hospitals and multiple outpatient imaging centers that compose the radiology practices of Emory Healthcare and the Grady Health System.The Division is strongly oriented toward innovation with several Artificial Intelligence tools available to support the daily practice and operation.
In collaboration with successful candidates, physician schedules are carefully composed to optimize work-life balance and prioritize long-term personal and division success. We have several template schedules within the department including a 26 weeks on 26 weeks off schedule consisting of 8am-5pm weekday shifts and 7am-4pm shifts on the weekends/holidays. This equates to 182 shifts of clinical duty per year. We have additional schedules which can involve evening work and multispecialty imaging if this is an interest for the candidate.
Candidates may decide to participate in both clinical and non-clinical divisional activities, including teaching and trainee supervision.
State-of-the-art clinical equipment is present across the enterprise. The department has a strong commitment to faculty development and academic advancement.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
+ Leads pharmacy operations at one or more Emory facility.
+ Prepares, compounds, manufactures, and dispenses investigational drugs and materials issued by the Investigational Drug Service for ongoing research studies.
+ Manages required record-keeping, shipping, ordering, and inventory activities.
+ Ensures the accuracy and integrity of products prior to their delivery to trial subjects.
+ Ensures compliance with all applicable Emory Healthcare (EHC), governmental, and sponsor regulations, laws and policies related to the conduct of trials involving investigational or marketed drugs.
+ Serves as a representative of Emory University on the Institutional Review Board (IRB) to assist in protocol review and approval.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
+ A PharmD or a bachelor's degree in pharmacy from an accredited school of pharmacy and three years of pharmacist experience.
+ Current licensure (or eligibility) as a pharmacist in the state of Georgia.
+ Completion of a pharmacy residency program and clinical trial experience preferred.
+ Prior hospital pharmacy experience strongly preferred.

Our team of highly trained nurses and clinicians provide continuous monitoring and specialized care for NSTEMI patients, heart failure management, and post-procedural recovery. With a focus on advanced electrophysiology, we care for patients requiring pacemakers, ablations, and defibrillators.

Interpret non-invasive testing results (e.g., stress testing, echocardiography, CT angiography) and integrate findings into individualized care plans.

FLOAT POOL:
Nurses in the float pool are not assigned to a specific unit. They are trained on multiple units and become familiar with all medical surgical units within Unity. After orientation, the nurse will be assigned to a specific unit for their shift each day based on hospital needs. Nurses in the float pool will become well-versed in all different types of nursing and will expand their knowledge and nursing skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides high-quality, patient-centered, clinical care
Performs initial and ongoing assessment of the patient, utilizing appropriate data (i.e. physical, psychological, educational and risk-screen data appropriate for the chronological / developmental age of the patient).
Communicates and documents assessment of patient with the interdisciplinary team. Utilizes all available resources in order to meet the needs of the patient and family.
Develops and documents plan of care, treatment and services which is individualized and appropriate for the patient needs, strengths, limitations and goals.
Complies with organizational policies, procedures and protocols including policies governing safety, medication administration and documentation.
Revises plan of care based on ongoing evaluations and updates documentation appropriately.
Completes at least one clinical research utilization (CRU) form for submission to Nursing Research Department utilizing a research article from the last 5 years from research performed in the United States. Compliance
Completes a minimum of 5 nationally approved contact hours (CNE or CEU) per year.
Completes mandatory in-services and health screens in timely manner.
Maintains Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
