Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Related duties may be assigned.
* Maintain and repair buildings, contents, mechanical and/or electrical equipment and systems.
* Perform work such as carpentry, plumbing, painting, door hardware, electrical and masonry work.
* Assist in building, remodeling, and repair work.
* Perform emergency repairs and maintenance.
* Install and reconfigure modular office furniture systems.
* Perform preventive maintenance as scheduled.
* Required to assist with snow removal which can be early morning starts, extended hours, weekend and Holiday duty.
* Required to report to work in a timely manner (within 60 minutes) when called to assist in snow removal.

Minimum Qualifications

Perform parking lot and sidewalk maintenance which includes, crack sealing/pot hole patching/spot replacement/sealing/snow removal and salting to the extent that will ensure that conditions of the campus remain accessible by the public, staff, students, administration, and faculty.
Operate and maintain all larger college-owned vehicles which require a CDL to drive. This would include driving/operating the vehicle to pick-up materials needed for college projects or donations to Elgin Community College. The Student Life Coordinator IV is responsible for facilitating co-curricular programs that promote student development, multicultural awareness, and leadership. Responsibilities include managing services such as file and print servers, email, M365/SharePoint, Group Policy, license management, and endpoint security.
The Data Center Engineer collaborates with vendors, faculty, staff, and students on projects, service requests, incident resolution, and training. This position will document configurations, communicate planned changes, research and apply best practices, develop technical articles and standard operating procedures, implement hardening and other cyber security practices, assist with disaster recovery initiatives, perform root cause analysis and continuous improvement, and lead IT initiatives. In collaboration with other Rock Valley College Data Center and Network Engineers, this position must also provide 24/7 coverage for the College's systems.

Job Summary: Teach assigned classes/ sections and perform activities related to classroom instruction.
Rock Valley seeks a dynamic and passionate part-time Business instructor. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching in the Business Department, fostering a positive learning environment, and engaging students in the development of their business acumen.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Additional related duties may be assigned.
* Teaching:
* Instruct students in lecture of business courses.
* Meet classes at assigned times.
* Course Preparation:
* Select appropriate texts and teaching materials.
* Prepare and deliver lectures, assignments, and assessments that align with course objectives and learning outcomes.
* Keep informed on the latest research and journal articles.
* Student Engagement:
* Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that encourages active participation and engagement.
* Provide availability for student interaction outside of class (1-hour weekly minimum per 3 credit hours)
* Assessment and Feedback:
* Evaluate student performance through a variety of assessment methods. Provide constructive feedback to support student improvement.
* Utilize Rock Valley College's chosen Learning Management System (LMS) for all grading, assignments, communication, and student records.
* Prepare course/class reports as required.
* Collaboration:
* Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the department's initiatives and activities.
* Attend college meetings when available (faculty, division, in-service training, etc.).
* Compliance:
* Adhere to college policies, procedures, and academic standards.
* Adhere to Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and any policies or laws that govern higher education at Rock Valley College.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education/Experience: Master's degree or higher in a business-related discipline required, with 18 graduate credits in Business or Accounting. 3-5 years of professional experience.
Skills: Strong knowledge of Business theories and practices. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to engage and inspire a diverse student population. Proficiency in using educational technology and learning management systems.
Personal Attributes: Demonstrate commitment to student success and academic excellence. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Strong organizational and time-management skills.
