GENERAL FUNCTION:

WORKING CONDITIONS

The Human Resource Assistant will be joining the organization at an exciting time during which we are looking to expand and grow under a new CEO. Responsibilities

Manage and track FAMS compliance tasks, including documentation, background renewals, licensing requirements, and audit readiness for all OST sites.

Organize HR files and personnel documents (both in-office and in SharePoint).
Prepare reports to support human capital data trends for both internal and external stakeholders.

GENERAL FUNCTION:
Supervise the Aquatics facility and activities taking place within it securing the safety of all.
Maintain a safe, clean and organized environment in and around the Aquatic facility
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
Must possess updated American Red Cross Lifeguard Training (or YMCA Lifeguard) and First Aid Certification as well as American Red Cross CPR for the Profession Rescuer w/AED.
Minimum age 16 (if under 18 must provide working papers)
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Follow all CDC and DOH guidelines as they apply to the program
Maintain a safe, clean Aquatics facility at all time by constant surveillance of and care for the facility - Squeegee the deck, disinfect specific areas and tidy up equipment and supplies to prevent injury or illness
Stay Focused - ABSOLUTELY NO READING, EATING, CELL PHONE USE, ETC. when members are in the pool/sauna/hot tub
Dress appropriately: YMCA issued Lifeguard shirt, whistle and an appropriate bathing suit must be work at all times
Report to work at least 10 minutes before your shift. Be courteous to your coworkers and members - we all have things to do and people to see
Perform First Aid and/or CPR within the RCYMCA when necessary
Follow and enforce all rules and procedures set forth by the RCYMCA Code of Conduct and the Aquatic Facility Rules
Report any problems to the Aquatics Director, Camp Director, Assistant Aquatics Director, Assistant Camp Director or other Department Directors
Record and take chlorine & PH tests at appropriate times. Notify the Aquatics Director, Maintenance Director or Organization Director of any abnormal or unsafe results
Record facility usage for the pool and spa areas
Record any First Aid Treatments
Read and follow Emergency Procedures outlined in the Aquatics Safety Plan and the RCYMCA Safety Plan
Set up pool for daily activities
Perform proper opening, closing and cleaning tasks
Have knowledge about swim classes and other programs
Find replacement for yourself when you cannot work - Fill out Sub Forms
Organize smooth flowing lap lanes. Circle swimming must be enforced when 4 or more people are in a lane
Attend all scheduled staff meetings and participate in any training or workshops

A successful Program Director will: bring a positive youth development lens to the role; build collaborative relationships with the school principal and staff; use evidence-based practices and data to continuously improve the OST program; ensure compliance with all licensing and funder requirements; hold themselves and others accountable for program results; and demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and anti-racism.
Furthermore, in the 2025-26 school year, we anticipate programs will start off as a blended learning model, with some in-person and some virtual activities. There is a high possibility of programs transitioning to a complete virtual model during the winter season. Therefore, Program Directors must be able and willing to operate a virtual program. TITLE: Sports Coach ASSOCIATION: Rockland County YMCA
DEPARTMENT: Health and Fitness
SUPERVISOR: Fitness Coordinator
GENERAL FUNCTION:
Under the direction of the Fitness Coordinator, the Coach is responsible for providing instruction and training to clients with safe and effective exercise program designed to meet their sports specific goals. The person is also responsible for orientation, instructing and monitoring sport activity and to ensure that members are conducting their activities in a safe manner.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or equivalent
College level or equivalent education preferred
Certified in CPR and First Aid
Extensive experience within specific sport
Previous experience in supervision, operations, programming is preferred
Strong background in athletics, ability to officiate specific sport
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Follow all CDC and DOH guidelines as they apply to the program
Coach Members within Specific Sports and coach the fundamentals of games (i.e. rules, skills, drills, scrimmage)
Keep current on CPR
Enforce and follow Code of Conduct and game Ethics
Report any equipment breakdowns or accidents immediately to Fitness Coordinator
Attend scheduled staff meetings and participate in appropriate trainings and workshops
Act as a positive role model and positive voice for the YMCA
Supervise clients/members on equipment to ensure safety. Advise of safety issues as needed
Keep equipment and YMCA facility clean at all times
