Packer/Palletizer, Production, D Shift (12 hour shift, 3-4 days/wk, 7am-7pm)

The Packer/Palletizer is responsible for providing support to specific production lines and to ensure safety, quality and production goals are met. Work schedule for this position is 12-hours, Sun - Tues 7am - 7pm, the first week of the pay period, then Sun - Wed 7am - 7pm the second week of the pay period.
* Complete start of shift inspection/sanitation of equipment
* Participate in Preventative Maintenance of equipment, when applicable
* Visually Inspect product for non-conformities and pack efficiently

The Advanced Machine Operator (OPII) reports to the production leader and is responsible for safely performing all tasks related to the efficient functioning of the line including operating, troubleshooting, adjusting, repairing and maintaining equipment. Essential Functions:

* Must become proficient in operating and troubleshooting the Teknoweb

* Able to adjust machine to achieve optimum run settings throughout shift (gear changes, major adjustments to machine)
* Support continuous improvement activities.

* Maintain good run adjustments i.e., print registration, label adjustments, substrate dimensions and folds)

Machine Operator

The machine operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of all paper converting equipment. This also includes the operation of clamp trucks, order pickers, and forklifts. The operator must be able to supply rolls of paper to two machines with no loss of production.
GENERAL:

Required to wear all company supplied safety equipment and comply with the company's cG.M.P., Lockout - Tagout and Safety Programs.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

* Safety guards must be in place while operating equipment.
* Keep the backstands filled with paper at all times with the correct amount of rolls, basis weight, width, and vendor for each job.
* This information must be marked by the operator on each roll before placing any roll on the backstand.
* Responsible for keeping the paper tracked properly at all times.
* NOTE: The top and bottom tracks must be tracked separately.
* Troubleshoot any machine problems for paper adjustments, tails, bites, jams, and foldovers

* Balance full and partial rolls on the top and bottom of the backstand especially at the end of the shift insuring proper startup on the next shift.
* Make sure that all fans, air valves, silicone and other mechanical parts are shut off when stopping for breaks and lunch.
* Record the lot # as well as the appropriate letter for the vender (E, KC, B, and T) and the size (20 x18) on the side of each roll.
* Write the vendor lot #, the appropriate vendor lot letter on the Paper Lot Tracking Record.
