JOB SUMMARY:
Supports engineering activities such as design, test, check-out, modification, fabrication and assembly of prototype electro-mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry or specialized test equipment. Applications may include analog, digital and/or video circuits, and logic systems. Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and trouble-shooting functions. Performs operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment. Assists in determining methods or actions to remedy malfunctions. Assists in the design, construction, test and check-out of test equipment. Uses manufacturing, test, development or diagnostic equipment, including, but not limited to, test programs oscilloscopes, signal generators and specialized test apparatus.
The purpose of the engineering technician is to perform electrical and mechanical assembly on RA ETO cabinet systems. This role is responsible for interpreting electrical schematics, drawings and specifications (both RA and customer) while transforming the information into a physical product. The build processes may include wiring, wiring preparation, component locating and assembly, labeling, and cabinet modification.
Interpret RA and customer documentation (drawings, specifications, work orders, schematics, and others)
Perform basic mechanical assembly of components on panels and cabinets
Assemble and disassemble doors and accessories from pre-assembled cabinets
Aid higher level Engineering Technicians in their duties as requested/assigned
Perform basic low-voltage wiring, power wiring and signal wiring
Select correct low-voltage wiring, power wiring and signal wiring
Strip, crimp, and secure wire ends
Select and apply wire labeling
Select and apply component and cabinet labeling
Select correct wiring securing devices
Aid Associate technicians as required based on work load and requested/assigned
Requires the basic understanding of how to interpret customer and RA documentation and requirements and transform them into a physical product.
Must be able to visualize physical product based off said requirements.
Must be able to select correct components, including wiring, define where components are located on the cabinet and panel and perform the physical placement of components.
Consistency and uniformity are critical to this role as there will be time when multiple products will be produced and need to be consistent to the customer.
To accomplish these tasks the person must have good dexterity, hand-eye coordination, have basic math skills, organization, and attention to detail.
Basic Qualification:
High School diploma or equivalent minimum
Minimum of 2 years in RA electrical assembly or Associates /Bachelors degree in related field.

This role will have a moderate level of supervision. Work load will be aligned to this role by their direct leader and will be expected to work unsupervised through the duration of said project for the duration of their work scope.
Typical time on a given project ranges from one half day to multiple weeks. This role's leader will remain engaged and periodically verify the progress and quality of the product being worked on during this time. Responsible for the project to which they are assigned and any subsequent projects will be defined by their leader.
Will be required to plan and prioritize to meet short and long term activities.
The majority of the time this role will be working on one project at any given time, although it could be possible that multiple projects could be worked on in a given day.

This role is an entry level Engineering Technician role expected to perform basic levels of electrical cabinet assembly. Demonstrate problem solving on product they are working on. This role is expected to request assistance or guidance when a decision needs to be made and the individual was not trained on topic nor are they comfortable in making an educated decision.
Able to perform billable project work at an average rate of greater than 65% when comparing quoted time to actual time.

Job Summary

Possess knowledge to troubleshoot and provide routine maintenance checkout for wide range of GE gas turbine equipment.
Assist with a continuous cross training program on both GE and oOEM equipment to promote the development of a seamless integrated FC team.
Support the development of new IT applications and their use by Field Core Field Engineers
Work with Engineering and FieldCore staff-based teams as required in the development of new products, tooling, and processes with a focus on the serviceability or use of those in the field.
Assist with the development of new and the update of existing technical documents, templates, and forms.
Partner with FieldCore Training to enhance technical training courses and develop new course content using contemporary delivery methods.

+ Identify potential risks and opportunities within the cost base to expedite RFP lifecycle and forecast accuracy

Qualifications/Requirements:
+ Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
+ 8 years of experience in risk management, accounting, finance, sourcing, government contracting or similar field.

What You'll Do
Lead the development and execution of Tech Mat test plans for engine core technologies and risk reduction.
Collaborate with design disciplines, test rig owners, and systems module leaders to align testing strategies.
Drive advanced measurement initiatives to validate new technologies.
Monitor and communicate Technology Readiness Levels (TRL), Risk Levels, and Manufacturing Readiness Levels (MRL).
Formulate and implement plans to meet technical requirements, schedules, and contract commitments.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams.
Present and review technical and program milestones with internal and external stakeholders.

What You'll Bring
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science.
5+ years of experience in aerospace or mechanical engineering.

Job Summary:
Help invent the future of flight, lift people up, and bring them home safely as a GE Aerospace intern or co-op! You'll build professional and technical skills in an aerospace systems & defense role working on challenging, real-world problems to design aerospace systems for commercial and military applications & support through service life. You will gain broad exposure to the engineering field with an array of opportunities ranging from design & analysis to working hands-on with aerospace systems. Essential Responsibilities:
An Aerospace Systems & Defense intern/co-op may experience work in the development of engine controls, navigation, & guidance systems; gas turbine engine components; electrical power systems; mechanical systems; vehicle health & data management systems; mission systems; computing systems; and platform systems integration. Responsibilities may include design, analysis, development, and testing, writing software requirements, software testing, simulation, tool development and product/program support.
Qualifications/Requirements:
+ Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA off a 4.0 scale without rounding.
+ Attending a full time matriculated and nationally accredited baccalaureate or graduate program in engineering (degrees accepted: Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering).
+ Willingness and ability to work in the United States; primary locations are: Dayton, OH.
+ Reliable transportation, many of our sites do not have public transportation available.
