You will provide technical support to field engineers, technicians, and product support personnel who are diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing and debugging systems. You will respond to situations where first-line product support has failed to isolate or fix problems in malfunctioning equipment or software. You will also report design and maintenance problems or bugs to design engineering/software engineering. You may be involved in customer installation and training. Finally, you will provide support to customer and users where the product is technical in nature. The technical support engineer reports to the Remote Support Supervisor, and is a hybrid position in Mayfield Heights, Ohio.
Additional Responsibilities
Effectively solve customer issues over phone or web based interactions.
Represent Remote Support Services (RSS) during commercially sensitive I2R and Quality related product concerns.
Collaborate in a cross functional capacity and engage the proper resources to drive high profile technical support commercial issues to closure.
Responds to situations where first-line product support has failed to isolate or fix issues in malfunctioning equipment or software.
Update and author Technical Notes and other documentation with solutions or workarounds to commonly experienced issues, how-to guides, videos, etc. to improve customer satisfaction and acceptance.
Participate in on-the-job-training and other Field opportunities to increase knowledge on new products and offerings.
This is mostly weekend work with two 12 hour shifts 7AM-7PM EST and flexible 1 x 12 hour first shift during the week for a total of 36 hours.

Advanced system knowledge of safety, networks utilizing Stratix switches, multi-axis control, and robotics

Radar Systems Field Engineering will be staffing a Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) THAAD SystemsEngineer in support of the THAAD KSA Program. The THAAD SystemsEngineer will support a deployed Field Engineering team supporting the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) Radar System.
ACTIVE SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED and will require a US Expat to forward deploy to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) under the terms of a Long-Term International Assignment Memorandum of Understanding (LTIA MOU).
What You Will Do:
Prior to deployment, the SystemsEngineer will be assigned to El Paso, TX where they will receive the appropriate amount of AN/TPY-2 systems classroom and/or on the job training (OJT) based on the experience level of the selected candidate. Once complete, the THAAD SystemsEngineer will support testing and integration efforts at either White Sands Missile Range, NM or Pelham, NH. Also, the SystemsEngineer may and will likely provide backfill support for other personnel assigned to deployed THAAD KSA Radars OCONUS with little notice.
Once deployed, the CLS SystemsEngineer will support a Radar team consisting of three Field Engineers assigned to the radar system. Responsibilities include:
Troubleshooting and resolving radar system anomalies (e.g. REX, BSG, Antenna/Sub-Array/TRIMMs) using engineering test methodologies and software tools.
Interpreting diagnostics and satellite tracks to assess overall health of the radar as well as assist in providing weekly reports on the status of engineering.
Executing data archival and assisting in software installation; complying with all QA and ALCS reporting requirements associated with providing accurate and complete data.
Providing support for configuration management of hardware and software; and leading troubleshooting efforts as needed or directed by CLS Manager.
Reviewing all ALCS program data to ensure that all required data has been entered to include ITR's, calibration records, PMCS, and contains sufficient information for Failure Review Board evaluations.
Utilize your experience with LINUX or other UNIX based OS platforms (Solaris, HP-UX, etc.)
Provide engineering assessment and corrective actions on faulted equipment, and installation and testing of engineering modifications/updates.
Conduct performance assessments, troubleshooting, and analysis of Radar systems. Perform data analysis utilizing Matlab tools. Proficiency with Matlab is desired.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of integration and testing procedures, results, and issues.
Utilize MS Office Products (Excel, PowerPoint and Word).
In summary, the Radar SystemsEngineer is responsible for the health and status of the radar.

Willingness and ability to work in the United States; primarily locations are Cincinnati, OH or Lynn, MA.
Reliable transportation, many of our sites do not have public transportation available.
