As an integral member of Agile development teams working on software, firmware, or hardware products, the Scrum Master has responsibility for coaching the team on Agility and accountability for the effectiveness of the team. Responsibilities include using Agile frameworks and practices to effectively achieve team goals. Depending on team/organization, this may include Scrum, Kanban, Lean, XP, and the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). Helps team to self-organize and self-manage while understanding, teaching and coaching Agile and/or Lean principles. Creates an environment for continued learning and continuous improvement. Helps Agile teams identify, mitigate and/or eliminate dependencies with other teams and communicates the status of these dependencies as needed. Facilitates team events and helps remove impediments. Collaborates with other Scrum Masters to identify, promote, and adopt best practices and lessons learned to optimize team and program performance through communities of practice.
You will report to the Manager, Engineering and will work a hybrid schedule at our office in Mayfield Heights, OH.
Your Responsibilities:
Guide rather than drive teams toward objectives, goals, and continuous improvement.
Initiate and foster collaboration, communication, and team building.
Work to remove impediments in the organization.
Facilitate team and program.
Help assure the team follows Scrum/XP/Agile best practices and product development processes.
Help the team achieve and improve in areas including quality, predictability, flow, and velocity.
Facilitate Scrum/XP, Agile and SAFe events including Daily Stand Up, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, Retrospective, and Inspect and Adapt workshops.
Coordinate solution implementation and delivery with other Scrum Masters and external teams.
Communicate to all levels of the organization, including progress tracking and reporting.
Maintain relevant metrics that help the team and program see how they are doing.
Balances changes in direction or requirements while protecting the team so the team can achieve committed goals.
Collaborate with Product Owners to ensure team execution and performance are aligned with our goals - near and long-term.
