    Outside Participant Attendant provides an escort for the frail and elderly participants for outside appointments during the day. Assists as necessary within the Scheduling department during down time. MISSION: Improving lives, Optimizing wellness, Promoting independence RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Must remain patient and maintain good customer service when working with participants and internal or external staff Escorts participants to all outside appointments that have been arranged by the scheduling department Assists with the needs of the participant during any outside appointment (i.e. participant paperwork, toileting, mobility and possible transfers) Documents services provided during the escorted appointment consistently and accurately via Electronic Health Records (EHR). Follows and fills out forms completely and neatly. Documentation is completed in a timely manner Communicates with Rocky Mountain Health Care Services (RMHCS) for outside appointments, as necessary, including ensuring that the participant is signed in/out of the center and appointment Views email throughout the day to receive updated scheduling information Checks in with the scheduling department when a participant cancels or no-shows an outside appointment to assist with department needs Maintains proper boundaries when dealing with participants. Notifies manager of any possible ethical or boundary issues immediately upon discovery Must be available to work various hours to include early morning and late evening appointments.
