We are seeking to attract a diverse pool of job applicants for this position. The interdisciplinary nature of our department will provide the new faculty member with opportunities to interact with a broad range of colleagues in areas such as, Oceanography, Computer Science, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, and Life Sciences. The research activities of the faculty in our department lie in the areas of combinatorics and graph theory, complex dynamical systems, computational mathematics, data science, difference equations, financial mathematics, mathematical biology and modeling, numerical analysis, numerical linear algebra, applied probability/statistics, partial differential equations, scientific computing, applied analysis, and mathematics education. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities include teaching and developing undergraduate and graduate courses, in line with departmental needs and the candidate's expertise areas, publishing original research in peer-reviewed academic journals, seeking external funding, advising undergraduate and graduate students, and engaging in departmental, college, and university service. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Ph.D. in Mathematics or a related field by the time of appointment August 2026. 2. Research interests in graph theory, combinatorics, or network science. 3.
