In 1990, Roland DG established Roland DGA Corporation in Irvine, California, to provide complete sales, marketing and customer support services throughout the Americas.
1995 Released the Color CAMM PNC-5000, the world’s first thermal transfer technology color printer/cutter.
1996 Released the STIKA STX-7 compact cutting plotter and MODELA MDX-3 3D milling machine, targeting the hobby and crafts markets.
1997 Released the CAMMJET CJ-70, the world’s first wide-format inkjet printer/cutter, capable of printing water-based pigment ink.
1998 Released the world’s first 6-color, 1440-dpi wide-format inkjet printer, the Hi-Fi JET FJ-50.
PNC-2000, the first CAMM-2 engraver, is launched.
Released the DPX-2000 A2-size pen plotter.
Other releases included the CX PRO Series, the EGX Series engravers, the LPX-250 and the SOLJET. 2002.
2002 Established a subsidiary in the U.K. Listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange First Section.
2003 Released the VersaCAMM SP-300, an inkjet printer/cutter designed to enhance on-demand production of small jobs.
2005 Established a subsidiary in Spain.
The Roland Hi-Fi JET Pro wins 2006 DIMA Printer Shootout Award.
2009 Released the SOLJET PRO Ⅲ XC-540MT, the world’s first inkjet printer/cutter, capable of printing metallic silver ink
2012 Released the METAZA MPX-90M, direct part marking device for the medical industry.
2014 Established a subsidiary in the Netherlands, a holding company providing fund management of group companies in Europe.
Texart XT-640 dye sublimation printing technology is released, along with the SOLJET EJ-640 Wide Format Colour Printer, DWX-51D DWX-4W dental mills, CAMM-1 GS-24 desktop cutter and Rolandprintstudio (RPS) Rolandprintstudio (RPS) – the first RIP software for Mac OS. 2016.
2017 Transferred the 3D business to a newly-established subsidiary, DGSHAPE Corporation.
2019 Released the TrueVIS VG2/SG2 series wide-format inkjet printer/cutters with new TR2 ink.
