RESPONSIBILITIES
Tending and caring for pigs in all stages of production -- sow farms, nurseries, and grow/finish farms, as well as learning to manage farm and personnel within the Seaboard Foods system.
Learning and performing each task within the farm successfully, including but not limited to: monitoring feed and water supply, cleaning and disinfecting pens and alleys, treating animals as needed, processing piglets, monitoring barn environment and ventilation, record-keeping, and managing reporting, employee discipline, and scheduling.
Assisting the farm manager and assistant manager in daily duties and filling in for the managers when they are absent.
Ensuring that all daily and weekly production targets are met, as well as completing and submitting production analysis reports in a timely manner.

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Butter Stacker to join our production team. This role is essential in ensuring butter products are stacked, organized, and prepared for storage or shipment according to company standards. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and maintain a strong focus on safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
Stack butter blocks or packaged butter onto pallets in a safe and organized manner.
Inspect products for quality and report any defects or inconsistencies.
Maintain a clean and sanitary work area in compliance with food safety regulations.
Operate basic material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks) as needed.
Follow production schedules and meet daily stacking targets.
Assist with labeling, inventory counts, and packaging when required.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Training of employees on day-to-day processes and procedures and developing a competent workforce by utilizing hands-on training methods.
Creating and managing employee work schedules and maintaining accurate personnel paperwork, including performance evaluations and providing constructive and timely feedback to employees.
Performing audits of the farm to ensure all standard operating procedures are being followed and facilities are in good working condition.
Ensuring that all daily and weekly production targets are met, as well as completing and submitting production analysis reports in a timely manner.

Summer Internship - Process Engineering

SUMMARY: This internship offers a unique opportunity for a junior or senior-level Chemical Engineering student to gain hands-on experience in process engineering within a renewable diesel production facility. Interns will work alongside experienced engineers to support plant operations, troubleshoot process issues, and contribute to real-world projects focused on safety, efficiency, and sustainability. Through this experience, interns will develop technical skills, gain exposure to industry-standard engineering documentation and tools and build a strong foundation for a career in oil & gas or renewable fuels refining.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the guidance of experienced process engineers, the intern will:
Assist in monitoring plant operations and analyzing process data.
Support troubleshooting efforts and contribute to process optimization initiatives.
Participate in reviewing engineering documents such as PFDs, P&IDs, and equipment specifications.
Help evaluate opportunities for improving safety, efficiency, and throughput.
Contribute to small-scale project development, including scope definition and cost analysis.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Production and Maintenance.
Participate in field walks and control room visits to gain exposure to plant operations and environmental compliance.
Prepare and deliver an end-of-summer presentation summarizing key project contributions, learnings, and overall internship experience to engineering and leadership teams.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical requirements for this role include the ability to sit and work on computer-based programs for extended periods, regularly walk, stand, and reach with hands and arms, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The candidate must be able to climb ladders or platforms and enter confined spaces, possess specific vision abilities such as close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Additionally, the candidate must be able to wear all required safety equipment, occasionally work in outdoor weather conditions, which may include extreme heat or cold, and perform regular field walks and control room visits to monitor environmental compliance and improve environmental awareness.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: This role involves both office and field work.
NORMAL WORK SCHEDULE: Days/M-F. The hours and days of work are established by departmental needs and at the discretion of management. Occasional changes in schedule may be required as special circumstances arise.
