Duties are based on the candidate's qualifications below._ **Class 2 Service Technician** + All skills listed in the Class 1 category above plus the skills listed below: + Ability to read schematics + Understanding of up to 20-ton unitary DX equipment + Understanding of psychometrics + Basic understanding of Controls + Basic understanding of Quoting + Diagnosing refrigerant system issues. **Class 3 Service Technician** + Understanding of 5 through 100-ton unitary DX equipment, chilled water air handlers, computer room units (CRAC), Pneumatic and DDC controls. + Demonstrate advanced troubleshooting skills on 100 ton and less unitary DX equipment. + Capable of all repairs needed on rooftop package equipment. + Perform basic troubleshooting on air-cooled chillers. + Troubleshoot and repair water cooled package equipment. + Diagnose problems using electrical schematics. + Diagnosing refrigerant system issues. + Basic understanding variable frequency drives. + Diagnose issues with variable air volume equipment (VAV's/PIU's) **Qualifications:** + Strong written and verbal communication skills. + Working knowledge of computer and tablets. + Ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations. + Ability to work well in a team environment. + Strong adaptability skills. **Required Experience, Certifications, and Education:** + High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. + Trade/Technical School certification or degree preferred. + Four to five years plus of commercial/industrial HVAC experience including exposure to control, compound and reciprocating systems as well as refrigerants. Position Summary: The HVAC Service Technician is a key member of the team, responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining systems or equipment in residential settings. The role requires technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to excellent customer service. Position Responsibilities: Troubleshoot and diagnose a variety of service issues. Perform repairs, part replacements, and system maintenance. Manage materials, schedules, and ensure quality work. Communicate effectively with customers and team members. Document work performed and report recurring issues to management. Be available for on-call and overtime work as needed. Follow all applicable safety guidelines and regulations. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications: Required: Relevant experience in service work. Required: High school diploma or GED. Required: Valid driver's license. Preferred: Certifications or licenses relevant to the specific trade. Physical Demands: Must be able to adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting, sitting, and lifting. Must be able to pick up, lift, carry and move up to 50 lbs. Must be able to work in all weather conditions (including heat, rain, cold and wind) while wearing appropriate PPE.
